Ivy was so excited walking into the gym today! She kept saying, “I do gymnastics, I do gymnastics” and wanted to get started right away. Of course, she paused for a hug from coach Ashley who taught Leia this summer and will be teaching Leia in the fall. Both the girls love coach Ashley or Ash-e as Ivy calls her. Mommy could not watch Leia like normal since Ivy is in a ‘mommy and me’ class but Coach Ashley told mommy that Leia did great and listened to instructions today. Mommy did sneak out of class to snap a few pictures of awesome Leia and watch her do her thing. Leia is a seasoned gymnastic so it was expected she would do wonderful but was not sure about sweet Ivy since she does not always want to follow instructions. However, Ivy did better than expected! In fact she may had been the best one in the class and youngest (you are suppose to be 2 by August 15th but they let her in since the class was the same time as sisters.  Ivy sat on her carpet square when she was suppose too, did all her stretches then went through the course coach Hanna made for them before we got to jump on the trampoline, play in the pit, and do the hokey-pookie on the dance floor (big sister’s class joined us for the hokey-pookie). Both girls said they had a great time and seemed to really enjoy the play time in the gym. Oh, did I mention there is only two classes in the gym when their classes met :).
