Chris was traveling this Monday and could not take the girls to school. Lisa needed to go to a meeting at 6:30 in the morning and the school does not open till 7:00. What do we do when we are in that kind of predicament? Mimi to the rescue. Really, Mimi asked the girls if they just wanted to play at her house instead of going to school so it freed up the morning for Lisa to go on into work to knock out a meeting. Of course the girls were very excited to get to spend the day with Mimi instead of going to school! Hmm, Leia already seems to like to skip school ;). She knows how to play her momma too! Leia says she has more fun at home with mommy or at Mimi’s than at school. We do practice our alphabet and numbers, do crafts, go on play dates, cook, and go on nature hikes so it is kind-of like preschool. Plus, the girls will have years of school when they can’t skip school so preschool is a good time spend the days together exploring, creating memories, and sharing time together. I am grateful our Mimi volunteered to watch them so I could go into work early but even more thankful because I know they had a great time playing and was loved on by one of the best ladies in the world.

My Grandpaw used to tell me it was okay to skip school and go to the racetrack with him. He said it would give the other kids a chance to keep up with me!
