Happy Birthday Papa – Mimi bought herself a gift–a Cadillac lawn mower!
It is fitting since that is the kind of gifts they gave each other 🙂
This year Mimi, Stacy, an Lisa spent Papa’s birthday together and talked about a few of the good times. We had a big breakfast (he would had loved) then went hiking, zip-lining, and shopping (he would had rather observed). We celebrated the years we had with a great daddy & husband. There is not a day that goes by he is not missed and thought of fondly. As thinking back to last year I am thankful we decided to drive out to celebrate his birthday with him at the house, getting to spend one extra day with him.

Papa always let the girls open his gifts – boy did they love that and it was quicker than when he opened them
Papa was a kid! We gave him a dollar plane and spent quite a bit of time playing with it. Had a blast too!

Be thankful for the people in your life and the time you have with them. Never forget to tell them what they mean to you. I never thought this would be the last picture on my daddy’s birthday with him but God called him home and he is celebrating in Heaven this year. Love you always sweet daddy!
