Wahoo! With May here tax season 2013 is over and summer time is coming. There is sure to be lots of fun time at Mimi’s exploring nature, swimming in the pool, and grilling out. Lisa, the girls and cousins spent Friday there playing. Mimi is incredible and let them all spend the night last Friday night for mommy and daddy to have a date night. There is never a dull moment when these girls get together.

Lisa and Stacy were out there Saturday morning ready to go to Magnolia Festival (the boys both went into work in the morning). We have been going since before Leia was born so flashbacks, memories of Papa came to mind. Papa loved going there to talk to a ton of people he grew up with, ride the rides with the girls, and get them sugared up and excited with surprises. In honor of daddy Lisa played the gun game Papa and Chris played last year several times, I could hear his laugh and telling me what I should be doing to win it. As I watched Mimi ride with Sara, I could not help but to think how excited Papa would had been to get on with her and how Mimi loves her grand girls (she does not like rides that go around and around). The boys arrived to meet for lunch then since it was warming up it was time for more fun. That night Chris put he girls down at Mimi’s so Mimi and Lisa could go on a date plus he was heading out of town bright and early the next morning for the week. When Lisa told Leia they needed to head home to see Sierra Sunday afternoon, Leia asked if Sierra really needed us to come home, she wanted to stay at Mimi’s. I could not believe my ears! My home-body did not want to go home after being gone for two FULL days?!?! She maybe jumping at ever chance she has to spend the night with Mimi like Sara.
Magnolia Festival last year – it was HOT but we had a blast … missed you there daddy
Papa and Leia loved riding together
This year was COLD but the girls still had fun
Yesterday, Lisa got to go to market with a friend in Atlanta but daddy was out of town so what could we do with the girls? Call Mimi … the girls had a blast! When mommy got there to pick them up, Ivy gave me a big hug but BOTH girls said they did not want to leave. They spent almost the whole day outside except when they ran to the store, to wash the car, and by ‘Mimi and Papa’s donut place’ as Leia says. Thank you Mimi for letting my girls have such a good time that they want to stay; it makes me enjoy myself more when I am away knowing they are enjoying themselves.
