Saturday morning we still enjoyed sweet time with the four of us watching Heartland and just being together. It was a somber morning. Mimi offered to come get Lisa and girls and a sweet friend offered a moms lunch and pedicure time but none of us wanted to leave the house. The girls went downstairs to play while Lisa started picking up the house a little. Mimi came by to drop off some pants she got for Chris Lisa asked her too since he is going into the office Tuesday. Mimi ended up taking the girls up to take them to get ice cream. While they were gone Lisa and Chris called a friend who is a MD and Phd working with cancer. He was encouraging and gave us more hope that there are multiple immune system treatments that can slow the cancer and give Chris a long life. Still praying for complete healing and a long life together. 

The hope from the call came just before Alabama’s first football game this year. Mimi and aunt Stacy brought the apps and food for the game to give us a normal football Saturday experience. Thankful for the normal as we are in somewhat of a fog. Thankful for the football talk. Thankful for hearing kids laugh. Thankful for the good afternoon where Chris was able to sit out in his chair most the time and enjoy the game. He did have to go stretch out on the bed for a little bit and went to bed for the night not long after everyone left but we were together which is what mattered.

Unfortunately, Lisa discovered the refrigerator is now leaking too after he went to bed. The girls helped clean up the mess as momma cried out to God for mercy! In the past two weeks we have had to have two toilets fixed  that were leaking, the hot water heater fixed so we did not have lukewarm or cold baths/showers, and now the fridge … people say things come in three so hopefully after this the house will be good for a little while and we can focus on the sweet people in the house and simply enjoy being together. Thankful our girls helped to clean up the mess. After the clean up we decided to call it a night to get a new perspective the next day and talk it over with Chris what we should do since it seems we are getting the fridge or freezer fixed once or twice a year the past couple years. Thank you Lord that the fridge is still cooling and for a partner to talk it over with tomorrow.
