Wednesday, August 18th Lisa finally worked a full day and enjoyed the flowers Mimi sent her. It was an extra rough day for Chris with the pain in his back. After school Lisa took the girlies to meet up with the Tally’s at the pool for about an hour to give Chris a few minutes to himself. It was nice to get out of the house and do something fun with the girls.
Thursday, was the day Chris and Lisa had been waiting for all week. He was getting to meet the nurse at the oncologist office so he can establish himself as a patient then go get a biopsy on Monday. We are so ready to get some definitive answers and know how to fight. The day did not start off as we planed as Lisa was struggling to walk when she woke up after rolling her ankle the night before. Mimi came to our rescue again to take the girls to school and Lisa to the doctor. Thankfully, nothing in the foot was broken. The doctor said it was a ligament issue and need to stay off it for 2 days then can transition to a walking boot and physical therapy just in time to go to Chris’s biopsy. We also called Deedee and Grandpa and asked them to come over to help out a few days with all that we have had going on in our little world.
Lisa could not put any weight on her foot so called a neighbor to get a scooter and Mimi called a friend so know we have one for upstairs and downstairs
Friday, Chris took the girls to school. Mimi came over that morning to have breakfast with Lisa. We chilled out at the house all morning. Both Chris and Lisa worked some. Chris was feeling good and Lisa was stir crazy in the house so we ventured out to a meat and three for lunch. It was so nice to get out of the house. Ivy texted from school and asked if Olivia could come play so we texted her mom and Mimi wen to get Crumbl for the kids as a fun Friday treat. Leia got invited to go get ice-cream with Alex so she saved her cookie. Ivy and Olivia opted to have half a cookie and half a cup of strawberry daiquiri. Leia asked if Alex and Max could come in to play when they dropped her off so we had a full house for the afternoon. Mimi and Katie also came over after they dropped off Sara at dance too. We all enjoyed a nice visit with friends. After dinner we got baths and had some family time watching Heartland before bed.
A child may grow but they are still their momma’s baby; thankful for a wonderful momma helping take care of her baby girl!

Saturday morning, was another home morning for Lisa and Chris. Grandpa and Deedee came that morning and brought entertainment for the girls painting cups then took them to the park and pool. Chris and Lisa stayed the course propping up Lisa’s foot and resting. They returned when it started storming outside and the pool closed down to paint some more and play at home. That evening the six of us headed to Bistro V for dinner and sweet fellowship.
