Leia started her Valentine celebration on Saturday with her cousins Sara and Katie. They came over to make cupcakes and have a little fun. Leia helped mommy bake the cupcakes while we waited on her cousins to arrive. On the way Sara informed Mimi and Aunt Stacy that she did not want Leia to grow any bigger (I think time needs to slow down too). Sara and Katie arrived as we were putting the cupcakes in the oven so lunch was served while we waited on the cupcakes to cook and cool. After they cooled, Sara and Leia decorated cupcakes while Katie was busy playing. Everyone went outside afterwards to enjoy the beautiful spring-like weather. Sara had everyone playing Simon Says. Uncle Mark ended up joining the fun playing in the fort since Simon had said ‘climb up the fort and slide down the slide’. He is a little competitve and did not want to lose; he is a good sport! The girls all loved him geting up in the fort with them though.
The next day, Leia had a special vistor come spend the night and play. DeeDee came over for a couple nights and spoiled our princess. Leia had just woke up from a nap shortly before DeeDee arrived so she was ready for some fun. DeeDee and Leia started playing while mommy and mimi went in to fix lunch. After Leia ate we headed up to the park. Leia’s friend CJ came up to play too. We had a great time. Leia even enjoyed a cupcake from a little girl celebrating her 6 month birthday up at the park. She enjoyed the yummy strawberry cupcake and made a BIG mess before they had to head back home.
Monday, Leia spent the day entertaining DeeDee while mommy went to work. They had a blast playing outside, and going shopping. Mommy thinks they had more fun than she did at work but enjoyed seeing Leia when she got home. After Mimi and Papa arrived home everyone enjoyed a Valentine dinner before she for to open presents. Leia had a great Valentine! Daniley sent Leia one of her first Valentine’s (a Hello Kitty valentine with a sucker; so cute!). Mommy and Daddy gave her a bucket filled of candy, dominos, flip flops, and a heart clapper. DeeDee made Leia a Jets tutu and shirt. Leia recieved a Valentine puppy, bubble wand, and sweet hearts from Mimi and Papa. Valentine’s was almost like Christmas for Leia. She had such a fun-filled day, little stuff was exhausted she had to go to bed early to get her beauty sleep since she has pictures in the morning.
