As a last hoorah before school started back the girls decided to take a beach trip while daddy was on a work trip with Mimi, Sara, Katie, and aunt Stacy. We were not sure if Mimi was going to make it when we woke and got the message she had been up sick most the night so Lisa went over to check on her, get the Tahoe and hitch for luggage, and pray she would recoup quick enough to head out that afternoon. We left later than we ever have going but Mimi was able to hop in the car with us thanks to prayers being answered and IV fluids. The ride down was quite entertaining with the kids excited screams, Stacy’s sensitive ears, and us checking on Mimi but we made it. Aunt Stacy and Lisa ran to the store after we dropped everyone off at the condo and sweet Mimi walked the girls down to the beach to burn off energy and enjoy the salty air. We knew that night it was going to be a great time!
Ride down, Mimi was a trooper after being up most the night. So thankful she recovered enough to ride down with us!

The girls finally made it to the beach for a little fun!!
They were patient leaving later than normal and did not ask too many times how much longer in the car.

Sweet Sunday, Mimi felt a little better and we got to wake up and hear the crashing waves on the beach with a few of our favorite girls. Life is sweet! We enjoyed the overcast morning by the ocean mixed in with a little time at the pool before heading to “The Gulf” for lunch and “The Yard” for milkshakes that several friends from west had talked about throughout the summer. That afternoon and evening we were back at the ocean and pool enjoying what we deemed the best time on the beach.
Morning fun in the sand

Relaxing in the pool with a couple cuties

Big hug milkshakes for everyone …. the seven of us shared 3 and none were all eaten

More fun in the afternoon at the beach and pool

Dinner on the balcony and smores for dessert

Evening time as the sound sets is the best on the beach! Good time for photo ops and it isn’t too hot.

Mimi redeemed herself catching a sand crab since last year they caught a bug not a crab but the girls were happy last year and this year both
Good night

With a sweet bed buddy

Monday we woke to rain but we got to linger over breakfast and enjoy a few extra minutes that morning andit passed quickly to get out and enjoy the day. Most of it was spent on the beach but a little afternoon shower popped up at lunch so we went to lunch and by surf style for the girls to pick out a souvenier. All four ended up with hermit crabs so we welcome to the family Lola, Uma, Hermee, and Shelly.
Mimi woke up before us and snapped a couple pictures

Morning snuggles
Beach fun and photo ops
Ivy welcomed the camera and pictures today; Leia was not in the mood but did let us get a couple

So thankful to be these two beautiful (inside and out) girls’ mommy

Tuesday we woke to head home. We did not make our way down to the beach just looked from the window and balcony. We had a little time to kill since we wanted to stop by Jesse’s on the way home for lunch so the girls went shopping at Target. It was a little warm out so the hermit crabs got to ride in the buggy so they would not bake with the heat in the car. After lunch we drove through the rain to make it home that afternoon after a great girls trip. The girls played with their new barbies from Target then Mimi entertained the girls in the car when they started to get stir crazy with toilet paper. It is never a dull moment when we are together. Thank you Mimi for taking us all on a fun trip!
Selfie in the car but keeping the eyes on the road

Whats the first thing Leia did at home …

Looks like you had a wonderful trip and glad your Mom made it too! Love, Aunt Joy
