Leia had prayed all summer to get Mrs Evans after hearing how great she was from Katie and aunt Stacy. There was so much excitement because she knew people at the school this year and expectations for meet the teacher. Mommy told her the night before that mommy was praying Leia got the best teacher and classmates for her not for a specific teacher. When Leia looked at the list there was a little bit of disappointment on her face since she did not see Evans beside her name and then when we went to the classroom she realized she did not recognize anyone either, double whammy. However, she decided to have a open mind and give her teacher, Mrs Grote and looked at the opportunity of not knowing anyone in the class as a chance to make more friends. After meet the teacher mommy told Leia she got to plan the day so we ended up back home to have some “home time” before she had to get back in the routine of school. Katie ended up coming over to play too then we went to her house for dinner then headed home to get ready for school and see daddy since he was coming home from a trip that evening.
We met up with Katie at meet the teacher

Looking for her name and giving her teacher a little happy

Donuts was the girls treat of choice after meet the teacher
Katie opted to come hang out with us rather than go shopping with her momma and we ended up sewing Barbie clothes.

Sweet dreams my little princesses praying Leia has a great first day tomorrow and Ivy gets the best teacher for her kindergarten year at West

Ivy woke up early on Leia’s first day of school and her meet the teacher day. Ivy was excited to meet her teacher. We ended up waking sweet Leia up for her first day of second grade. Daddy and Leia went and got donuts since that is what she requested for her first day of school breakfast. We wen tot upper car line since she is a big girl in school now. Ivy had to wait till 9:00 to meet her teacher. We walked down to Mrs Chambliss’s classroom and she held mommy’s hand a little nervous. She was excited to give her teacher a little happy and find her seat but after that she grabbed onto mommy’s leg and started begging to leave. We filled out the paper work we needed to then headed out for a mommy-daughter day and let Ivy pick what she wanted to do for her last day of summer break. She opted for a mani and pedi then lunch with Mimi and aunt Stacy and a little shopping trip before we picked up big sister at the Shades bus. Leia was all smiles and said she had a great first day.

Ivy’s pick today was to get a pedi and mani then go to lunch with mommy, mimi, and aunt stacy and shop. Mommy is going to miss her mini me when she goes to school

Pick up at the bus. Lisa stood in-front of bus Katie got off of and Stacy was at Leia’s bus. Both girls were all smiles and said they had good days.

Sweet dreams my girls. Leia must be dreaming about keeping quite in school and we hope Ivy is dreaming about what a great time she will have at school tomorrow.

Leia woke up on Ivy’s first day of school excited sissy would be going to her school. Mommy ended up waking Ivy up. Daddy stayed home to do breakfast with us and a Ivy’s photo op before her first day of school. Mommy drove them to school and prayed over them and their day just like we have when we dropped Leia off the past couple years but this year both of them would be getting out. Leia walked Ivy into school. Mommy was surprised there were no tears shed as she watched them walk in together, hand in hand. Lisa was at the bus again today to get them when it pulled up and happy to see both girls smiling as they got off and to hear they had a good day again. Looking forward to our “Fun Friday Family Night” and weekend together.
Where did the time go? She is already for Kindegarten
