Welcome 2017! Looking forward to the things ahead for our family and friends!
We are really enjoying not having school or work the first few days of this year! New Years Day fell on a Sunday so Chris and Lisa started the New Year’s right and went to church. Our little princesses had spent the night at Mimi’s house so they missed out. After church we headed to Mimi’s to eat our black eye peas for luck and greens for wealth in 2017. Lisa and Mr Al helped the girls put together a puzzle that that had gotten out earlier that day before we went to Janet and Morgan’s so Chris could fix their TV and the girls play. We did not stay too long though since Chris had to pack that night for his first business trip of the year so we spent the evening at home enjoying sweet family time.
Daddy had to leave super early Monday to go to Boston. The girlies wanted another pajama day at home which was a great idea with the pouring down rain. The morning hours were spent snuggled up on the couch watching TV and the rain. Midday was game time as we played any board-game or card-game mommy could get the girls to play. Then the girls decided it was time to play with the tent/fort in the den, gymnastics, horses, and Leia’s Nom Nom she got for Christmas. Sara, Katie, Stacy and Mark came over late in the afternoon for the girls to play. Mark watched girls so Lisa and Stacy could run to the store then when we came back we warmed up leftovers for dinner and watched football until they headed home for bedtime. The Comfort girls followed suit and got ready for bed to try to get on schedule for school starting back in a couple days.
Tuesday, our last day before the girls have to go back to school tomorrow, boo. Since it was the last day mommy told the girls we would do exactly what they wanted to do. We started the morning going to aunt Stacy’s for breakfast and play then at lunch we came back to our house for lunch and play. Then that afternoon Morgan came over to play. I think the theme of our Christmas Break was the girls wanted to stay home to play. We all have so enjoying these days home days playing though and wish it would last longer!
Wednesday morning mommy hated waking our sleeping beauties for school but atlas our fun break has come to a end and we had to wake up early and get back to reality of work and school. Thankful they both had good days! Leia said her favorite part was finding out they were going to get a new friend in class this week that was transferring from another school and Ivy said her favorite this was playing with Mia.

It sounds like the girls had a great Christmas break!! I know it was hard for Reed and Raina to get up for school on Tuesday morning! Today it is snowing so schools are closed!! Love, Aunt Joy
