Monday after Christmas the girls woke a little before 7 and immediately started playing. Lisa stayed out of their way by taking down the Christmas tree, the last decoration up. Deedee and Grandpa headed home shortly after Grandpa’s cup of coffee while Lisa was getting breakfast ready and Chris was putting up the security cameras they given us for Christmas. After Chris finished we had breakfast followed by a anything goes day at home. Leia finally watched a hallmark movie with Lisa and liked it :-). They ended up watching a few throughout the day. Girls did lots of gymnastics on their mats, played through out the day, and enjoyed sweet family time together. That evening Chris blew up the blow up bed and put it in our bedroom for the girls to have a spend the night party with us.
Leia has started running from the camera so mommy has to catch her in good mood or sneak a picture. Thankful Ivy is still all about getting her picture taken. Monday after Christmas is a R&R, family day, staying home to play with toys kind of day.
Tuesday, Leia and Lisa both woke not feeling 100%. It was a good day to lounge on the couch all morning while Ivy played with Elsa in the den since it was a gloomy, rainy day. Chris went to pick up breakfast then played/worked on the computer. About lunch time Janet and Morgan came over so he could play with Ivy. Leia perked up when they arrived and ventured off the couch to join in the fun play time. Lisa continued taking it easy drinking green tea sitting next to a diffuser while visiting with Janet. Leia decided to come back to play secret Santa with Lisa, Chris and Janet before Chris headed to the movies. Leia said one of the favorite things they played with were the little live pets; they have all of them currently out. Janet and Morgan hung out until late that afternoon when the rain stopped. As they left the girls decided to dry off the play stuff outside to stay for a little while. Chris arrived back home while we were outside. We all called it a early night after dinner and had another spend the night party in mommy and daddy’s room watching a Hallmark movie in bed; mommy is loving having a Hallmark buddy.
Mommy sad we weren’t feeling 100%
Sweet Ivy entertained herself and taught Elsa gymnastics
Lots of snuggle time and outside fun
Wednesday Lisa woke with no voice and was not feeling better so it was a quite morning watching TV snuggled on the couch as a family. Lisa would hand gesture or text Chris for him to vocalize anything. After 3 cups of green tea Lisa could talk again but was still not up for much so she suggested Chris take the girls to do something. They ended up meeting Sara, Katie and Mark at the library. All the little monkeys picked out books and movies then headed to the Rhoads’ house to play and for Chris to install a keyless entry on their back door. The boys forgot to take a single picture but I know they had a good time hanging out. They all headed to Mugshots for a burger before they came home. Lisa had a little more energy since she had slept on and off too. The girls played, we watched movies, ate, then had a family card night, playing a few hands of Old Maid before bed time. So thankful they enjoy the simple things in life and us all just being together is entertainment enough since mommy’s energy level was a little down so far this week. Praying for a quick recovery to enjoy the rest of the girlies Christmas Break!
Thankful Chris took girls part of day and mommy could rest and that he grabbed donuts for breakfast as his sweet daughters requested. Fun afternoon with the girls playing with their new and old toys. Love and treasuring these times with them!
The girls last night on the blow up in mommy and daddy’s room during the break came to a end after tonight in hopes everyone sleeps better and we get to feeling better

Thankfully on Thursday everyone woke up feeling a little bit better. Lisa immediately swept and cleaned up the house a little after waking up then snuggled watching My Little Pony with our little princesses before starting breakfast. Sweet Ivy asked if she could wake up daddy so she headed in to get him close to 9 (he slept in!). We enjoyed a nice big breakfast together then Lisa and Leia had a date on the couch while Ivy ran circles around the house and Chris started sitting up Mimi’s new computer. Thankfully, Mimi, Sara, Katie, and aunt Stacy arrived for a afternoon of fun to burn some of the energy off. Unfortunately, Sara and Katie enjoyed watching Star Wars with Leia so she still was playing with herself for a little while but had a larger audience. The boys picked up pizza for lunch while Mimi and Lisa sat neat the diffuser. Not long after lunch everyone headed home and the Comfort girls crashed for the evening.
Friday was Lisa’s day to sleep in till a little after 8 after a restless night. It was another home day. We watched movies with popcorn, built tents, built birdhouses the girls got for Christmas, and they painted it, Ivy worked out doing pushups on the chair, mommy cooked, and we all played. This marked the fifth day that Lisa had not left the house with the respiratory junk so she are starting to get a little stir crazy. Thankfully the girls did get to leave the house one day with daddy but they are enjoying the home days and continue saying that is what they want to do when asked. Love the little monkeys and the joy they bring into our home.
New Years Eve morning we all slept in a little, mommy slept in a lot trying to leave the sickness in 2016. Chris snuggled with Leia while Lisa and Ivy cooked breakfast. Sweet Ivy always talks about loving coffee so this morning she got a cup of coffee (DECAF and half of it was milk). She was so excited when we told her she could have coffee like mommy and daddy. Most of the morning was spent playing and relaxing at home. We headed to Mimi’s for a the AL game with heavy appetizers at lunch to watch AL win against Washington to move onto the Championship game next week. Then Chris grilled steaks there for NYE dinner with the family. There was a short gap after dinner where it was not raining so we went and shot fireworks until the rain drove us back in but it was fun while it lasted. The Rhoads headed home not long after that to spend time with Michelle and family since they were visiting. Leia and Ivy asked if they could spend the night with Mimi so they stayed there so the rest of the evening was a quite one at the Comfort household as we had a date night in and went to bed on time to wake up to a New Year where we pray blessings over our friends and family.
Ivy excited to have her own coffee just like mommy and daddy

Fireworks with the family. Chris and Mark did a great job shooting them. Thankful they were willing to light them in the rain while the rest of us stayed dryer under the porch at Mimi’s house
Last picture in 2016 before we left Mimi’s and our little princesses there for a spend the night party they requested
Girls had fun at Mimi’s while mommy and daddy shilled and watched a movie at home to ring in the new year

Thankful to spend all my years with the love of my life!
