Chris had to travel the week of Grandpa’s birthday so we decided to meet him in PTC and get to celebrate Grandpa’s big day (a few days late). Chris arrived early Friday morning so he and grandpa got to go play golf. Lisa and the girls headed out as soon as Leia got out of school. We arrived as Deedee was finishing up cooking dinner. We enjoyed yummy chicken marsala before the girls took off playing. They played well past their bedtime and slept later than normal on Saturday. We ended up getting to Adrian’s basketball game a few minutes late but were so glad we got see him play. Adrian did great! Leia was so proud of him, as you can tell in the picture. After the game we took the kids back with us so they could stay with grandpa and Deedee while the moms and dads went on a double date. We enjoyed lunch while the kids enjoyed playing together with grandpa and Deedee. On our way back to Kelly and Diego’s to have coffee and grab warmer clothes, Deedee called for us to make a pitstop at urgent care since Adrian had slipped. He had a big goose bump on his head. Thankfully is was not serious but the doctor ordered Adrian to go home and rest. Alicia stayed and played a little longer then we took her home and got to give Adrian get well hugs and take them some of the birthday ice-cream cake since they could not join us that evening. We ordered pizza and celebrated Grandpa’s birthday that evening and the girls even gave us entertainment on the karaoke machine. The next morning we headed home after breakfast to get ready for another school/work week but sure did enjoy our visit and getting to wish grandpa a very happy birthday.
