New Year’s Day, we welcomed 2016 by all waking up in the same room. I love the big smile on Ivy’s face when she wakes up and go get it attitude; she wakes up so happy. Leia takes a little longer to start functioning but offers sweet snuggles from her tender little heart. We went to Mimi’s for the traditional New Year’s lunch that must include greens for money and black-eyed peas for luck or coins. After lunch we played a new game called spinners before heading home for a chilled out kind of afternoon resting up for the rest of the year’s activities.

No one wanted picture that day but I snapped a few anyways at lunch

Saturday, Leia, Ivy and Mommy went to Let’s Play and met Ashley, Jenna, and Abbey. Love watching the girls and their different personalities. Leia often will run off and hid. Ivy likes to know just where mommy is and have her in sight at all times. The girls played a couple hours before we all headed back to our house for lunch, rest, and a little more play time. Great day playing with sweet friends!
Sunday, we went to church then tried cheering on the Jets but it did not work. Afterwards, Lisa headed out for a run. Not long into it she saw out of the corner of her eye something fall and quickly realized it was her diamond earring. A couple walking looked around a few minutes before Chris and the girls arrived to help look. After a while a sweet couple saw us outside and came outside to join the search. Then another couple that work with Chris stopped to help too. After looking almost an hour Tim found the earring, praise the Lord. The girls headed to Mimi’s that night for a spend the night party with their cousins since mommy and daddy needed to work Monday but school was not back in session.
Sweet girls slept in our room until they spent the night with Mimi and school started back 🙂

Monday, the girls all decided to have a pajama day at Mimi’s. They stayed in all day playing, throwing tea parties, doing crafts, painting nails, and more. When Lisa arrived to get them Leia asked to go home in PJs too, Ivy wanted to wear her flower skirt so she got dressed to go home. That evening was more tea parties, crafts, snuggles, and dance parties to celebrate the second half of school starting. Despite the fact we tried to sound upbeat about it starting back everyone was a little sad school was starting back already. Thankful, we all were able to enjoy the Christmas break and the extra family time together.
