Saturday, we woke up and got to go to breakfast with Grandpa and Deedee before they headed home. After relaxing a little mommy decided we should clean but everyone else did not really want too so daddy took the girls to Let’s Play and lunch while mommy cleaned out some of the toys out of the house and started straightening up the house from Christmas festivities. The girls were able to play with our neighbors that afternoon outside and Stella ended up coming over when it got dark since they were not ready to call it a night. That evening we just had a low key night-in enjoying time together playing with the girls new Christmas toys and resting since Chris said he was not feeling 100%.

Sunday, our little family went to church then home for lunch so we could watch the Jets game. Chris watched part of the Jets game while mommy and the girls played outside. The girls are like their momma, 4th quarter girls. Each of us watch part of the 4th quarter with daddy while mommy finished up a couple things before we went on our dates. Ivy and mommy went to the park to run and play. We had planned on going for ice cream but Ivy met a friend and wanted to stay at the park longer than originally planned. Daddy and Leia finished watching the Jets game then went to Chuck-e-Cheese and to get ice cream before crashing mommy and Ivy’s date. It was fun to have end the one-on-one date with family time.

Chris told the girls he did not feel well and started running fever so they helped cool him down. Mommy was laughing so hard her tummy started to hurt

Monday, Lisa and the girls headed out to Mimi’s after a leisure morning before the next round of storms arrived. Uncle Mark had brought the girls out too so they were happy to get to play with them for a hour or so before they had to go knock out Stacy’s to-do-list. We headed to Walmart, dinner, and to let Leia spend her Target gift card on a Little Live Pet after the rain slacked off. That evening we had game time and invited Mr Al to join us at Mimi’s. Leia was up coughing a lot through out the night but said she felt okay other than her coughing attacks.

Tuesday, we headed for a walk/run at black creek park then afterwards the girls got to play on the rocks since the park area was very muddy from all the rain. That afternoon we were invited to play at Ashley, Abbey, and Jenna’s house. The girls had a great time playing; they always love getting together with the sweet Crockett girls. We headed home that afternoon to get home to see Chris. When he got home he’d said he was not feeling well again so we hung out at the house, had a family movie night, and had some R&R time.

Wednesday, Chris took off work to spend the day with us. We had a nice morning hanging out at the house then Ivy and Mommy went to get cough and cold meds for daddy and Leia. That afternoon we met Stacy, Mark, Sara, and Katie to go ice skating. The girls took turns who sat out with Katie saying she didn’t feel good, Leia starting coughing attacks, and Ivy not willing to wear skates. It was fun though! The girls did great when they were on the ice and who knew that aunt Stacy was awesome on the ice. When we got home that afternoon we found out daddy and Leia both had fevers so we took it easy and sent everyone to bed early.

Daddy likes mommy’s new blanket too

New Year’s Eve, we spent the morning picking up the house and washing clothes since Mimi says not to wash on New Year’s Day since you will wash a death in the family and Lisa says we should start the new year with a clean house. That afternoon we went out to Mimi’s to cook dinner and shoot fireworks. Mimi got steamed shrimp and crab, Lisa cooked the sides while Chris prepped the yummy lobsters and manned the grille. After dinner we invited Abbey and Ashley over to watch the fireworks with us. We called it a early night and headed home for a dance party and game time until the girls got tired. Neighbors were shooting fireworks so the girls asked to sleep in our room with us. We watched a little of the Alabama cotton bowl game before calling it a night.

Girls ready for fireworks. After daddy shot the big ones the girls all got to do sparklers.

The girls baked cookies after we got home from Mimi’s

They had fun sleeping mommy and daddy’s room supposedly it was because all the fireworks but it lasted a few days 😉
