Christmas morning, Lisa and Chris were the first two up; one day the kids will wake up but we will enjoy the quite time on Christmas morning until then. When we heard the little monkeys rousing we went up to read the Christmas story of Jesus’s birth before they saw what Santa brought them. After we talked about the true meaning of Christmas Leia took off down the stairs, excited to see what Santa had left. Ivy lagged behind Leia a little but was equally as excited to see the goodies Santa had left. Daddy, Mommy, Deedee, and Grandpa watched the little princesses as they opened their presents; they help keep the magic in Christmas. It is fun to watch them because they both take their time wanting to play with each item. The adults got to open their gifts too and enjoy coffee/tea before heading to Mimi’s for brunch. Mimi had a feast when we arrived. It was yummy! Then after brunch the little girls separated the gifts in the den for the opening frenzy to began. I am not sure who got what it went so fast but there were 4 excited little girls. The rest of our day was low key and relaxing. Whoever wanted a nap, actually got one. We played outside, played inside, went for walks, and just enjoyed family time together. That evening we enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner before heading home to put all our Christmas goodies away.
