The lady who picks up Sara and Katie after school is in the hospital to have a new little bundle of joy so we got to pick them up to have some fun (of course we got them a little early). The four princesses were adorable walking through the school holding hands. We were blessed today with beautiful, warm weather. We took advantage of it by picking up Chickfila (girls’ choice) and heading to the park for picnic and a little fun. The sun felt great especially with all the wet, gloomy weather we have had this year and we all needed the vitamin D. I always am amazed at these girls and have a great time with them! They share a special relationship and are all growing so fast. I realized today that Sara would be in real school next year so our days like today would be fewer and farther between. There was such a proud feeling of Sara watching her go across the monkey bars all by herself today. I laughed out loud at mother Sara watching Leia and Katie run ahead since we were walking Ivy’s speed picking up rocks and flowers; Sara was concerned they were getting too far ahead and exclaimed, “Leia and Katie, I have my eyes on you” as she was doing the two finger point from her eye to them. The three big ones look after Ivy and try to include her playing, making sure she had ‘sunflowers’ to through in the river because they looked pretty floating (‘sunflowers’ = weeds). All four of these girls are so unique and special it is a joy watching them grow!

After we finished playing on the slides and swings we went on a nature walk and ended up thawing rocks, pine combs, sticks, weeds, anything we could find in the water … the girls LOVED it!

After everyone was re-energized at rest time we headed back outside to enjoy the beautiful day the Lord blessed us with; the girls enjoyed playing on the driveway and taking walks down Mimi’s road. I think we are all ready for spring and summer fun at Mimi’s house

After dinner everyone got ready for night-night then the girls talked Mimi into painting nails before it was time to unwind with a movie and snuggle … one of the best times of the days – snuggles 🙂
