The celebration for Chris’s big day was a little more low key than we had expected. Sweet Ivy got sick a couple days before and was holding onto her tummy bug for daddy’s birthday then big sister decided to join in on the celebration. There was LOTS of cuddles for his birthday though. The girls had enough energy to open his presents and Leia enjoyed blowing out his candles for him (he would had needed more help of I could had made it to the store ;)); although he did accidentally get a trick candle.

We planned on going out with the family on Saturday night to celebrate but with the girls still a little under the weather we ordered in with Grandpa and Deedee then went out for Sunday lunch. After lunch everyone got to enjoy Chris’s ice cream cake (the favorite part for the kids) and Chris got to open gifts from family. We are so blessed to have family close by to share special times in our life with them.
