It was a big football, sports watching weekend for the Comfort household. Anyone who has known Lisa must be shocked she watched most of a game. A game that was later than most other games, it even started after the girl’s bedtime and not long before the adults’ bedtime in our household. However, Chris had won tickets at work so we were not going to pass up a date night (Lisa did make sure that Chris would be okay leaving after the halftime show if she was tired but we stayed until after the fourth quarter started). It was a great time cheering on our team with a thousand other fans, feeling the excitement in the stadium together. Unfortunately, we messed around the house most the day and did not get to Tuscaloosa in time to tailgate but we did get lots of house work finished. We ended up arriving to Tuscaloosa with just enough time to walk to the stadium and find our seats so we did not get the full experience or to walk around campus (we will have to go early next time). Thank you Chris for winning the tickets, letting Lisa sleep on the way home, and the fabulous date night!

Sunday, Chris and Lisa both were ready to see the girls! It is not often we leave the girls (this may had been the first time they spent the night away from home without Lisa staying to put them down before leaving or being there when they woke up). Of course the girls did great and had a blast at Mimi and Papa’s house. After daddy and mommy arrived at Mimi and Papa’s we got a big hug and kiss then began playing with the girls, watched the Jets (not the best showing) and Ryders Cup, and just enjoyed hanging out with everyone most the day. During the girls nap times Chris and Lisa escaped again to Leigh Ann and Gary’s Sunday Funday wedding shower. Lisa got to catch up with old friends while Chris chilled with the other guys watching golf before we headed back to get the girls. It was a fabulous weekend! So thankful to spend it with loved ones!!
