Lisa and the girls loaded up after work on the 16th to head to PTC for a fun filled weekend and to celebrate cousin Alicia’s first birthday. Chris had been on a business trip so he was just going to hop off the plane and meet us there Friday. Of course, his plane left late so he had to head to the golf course to make his tee time while the girls enjoyed a day with Deedee playing at the house, running around the park, feeding the ducks, and enjoying chicken at our favorite chicken place (chickfila). After nap-time the girls headed to the pool. Leia could not wait to go down the big slide with mommy but was not as excited when we got to the bottom. Not too long after we arrived Chris and Grandpa arrived to play followed by the Requena-Comfort family. The kids played hard before everyone headed back to Deedee and Grandpa’s for pizza and a cupcakes (Leia had helped Deedee make them earlier that day and picked out different color icing for each one).

Happy Birthday Alicia!

Leia was more excited about cake than Alicia

The older two were also more than happy to help Alicia open her gifts

Saturday morning Adrian and Leia immediately started playing. Once everyone was up and moving (including our sleepy Ivy) we headed to the Atlanta Aquarium. We were all glad that Grandpa and Deedee are members so we did not have to stand in a rather long line. Leia told us that her favorite thing was the whale slide that she and Adrian slid down countless number of times. We also got to see tons of fish, sharks, and other sea animals. It was nice to see the girls faces and eyes light up seeing new creatures. Leia also went into her first 3D movie, Dumo. It was a very cute movie about keeping the oceans clean. We were glad we took the double stroller! Leia and Adrian ended up riding while we took turns carring baby Ivy before getting back for much needed naps.

Alicia’s birthday party was Saturday evening. Kelly and Diego know how to throw great parties! It was a Minnie & Mickey Mouse themed party since the is Alicia’s favorite. The kids had a blast jumping in the bouncey house, swinging and running around the yard before getting to enjoy a delious dinner and singing Happy Birthday to sweet Alicia. Of course, as Leia expects after singing Happy Birthday there was yummy cake and ice-cream for all (the reason Leia ate her dinner). Leia loved playing with Adrian’s train table and guitars; it was hard to pull her away from them but the girls were tired so we had too.
