Leia has never really been a ‘cuddle-bug’. We have considered ourselves lucky if she sit with us for a couple minutes and would try to entertain her as long as possible just to get her to stay in our arms. I vividly remember, trying to put her to bed in our room the first night we brought Leia home from the hospital but she just screamed until I took her to her room and laid her in her crib then she was as happy as she could be (guess she likes alone time like her daddy; he also tried telling me that Leia was a ‘cuddle-bug’). Mommy would often wear her in a sling while doing house work or taking a stroll in the neighborhood just to keep her close. On the opposite hand, Ivy is completely a ‘snuggler’; her preference is to be in someone’s arms at ALL times and has to be able to see someone or freaks out (mommy prayed her second baby girl would be an arm baby; daddy now knows what a snuggle baby is :)). It seems as if Ivy’s arrival has made Leia more affectionate though. We are not sure if it is seeing how much we hold Ivy or what but we are benefiting. Leia has started coming around to be held, hugged, and kissed on more (we a LOVING it!). She will occasionally even wake up REALLY early to see if she can get in bed with us to rest until it’s time to get up. I’m loving how affectionate she has been with the family and her little sister who’s eyes light up when she sees her big sister. I’m praying they grow up to be close and always watch out for each other!

How I treasure these times!
