Today was the last day of the year at Mt Top. To celebrate each class had a birthday party for Jesus and took her teachers gifts. Unfortunately, Daddy, Aunt Stacy, and Uncle Mark had to work and could not come. Ivy decided, she and mommy should go celebrate with Leia, Katie, and Sara though; Ivy likes to party. Prior to the parties though Mommy took Ivy meet the staff and tour the nursery since she will be hanging out there when mommy goes to work starting in January. I hope Ivy will enjoy it up there! I am sure that her sister and cousins will be checking on her frequently. She never left my arms but I knew a couple of the workers and liked the new workers. Today though was all about visiting her sister and cousins classes.

Katie’s class was right next to the nursery so after the tour we ventured into her classroom. They were just getting started. Katie was so excited she forgot about her food and jumped out of her seat to run over to give us a big hug (this is the kind of welcome that makes you want to go back). We got to say the blessing with Katie’s class and help get Katie’s food. We sat next to her while she ate to talk to her friends and their moms. As usual, Katie ate great! She offered to share her chicken nuggets, corn, carrots, and rolls but we told her Ivy still only drank mommy’s milk. Each child gave their parent there a special present they made for them too; I assured Katie her mommy would LOVE the ornament with her hand print on it (I did!). We wanted to hang around to sing happy birthday to Jesus with them but we had two more parties to go too.

Sara’s party was our next stop since it started the same time as Katie’s and Leia’s started 30 minutes later. They were done with their meal, had already sang happy birthday to Jesus, and were finishing up the cake. I think she was surprised to see us come in too by the big smile on her face; however, she didn’t jump up to run over (maybe it had something to do with the cake she was enjoying). After they finished eating her class preformed 3 songs for the visitors (video below) and we got our hugs before heading to Leia’s class.

Leia’s party had started when we arrived. It took me a minute or two to locate Leia since she was already enjoying the crackers, cheese, apples, and turkey roll ups when we arrived and payed no attention to us coming in the door. Nonetheless, we went over to join her and visit with her friends at her table. Not long after our arrival everyone got to sing happy birthday to Jesus (we final got to sing at one of the parties).

After cake Lisa’s class held their gift exchange. She received fun bath toys and bubble bath from London. Leia made sure go thank London and give her a hug after she got to pick one of the bath toys out to play with now. Noah also thanked Leia for the finger paints, construction paper, and a apron she had given him. I am loving that their teachers are teaching them to use their manners at a young age. Her teachers also helped each child make an adorable hand print ornament as a gift to their parents. I love ours!

Thank you Ms Katy for Leia’s book

Before we left mommy had to drop something off for a parent in Sara’s class so Leia got to see Sara for a minute too

Leia and Ivy said goodbye to all their friends and teachers until next year at Mt Top.
