No one really wanted to get up on Monday morning, but it was nice to preheat the oven from our phone for breakfast, a plus for the oven Chris picked. Chris nor Lisa slept well Sunday evening either. Maybe it was anticipation of Chris planning to go golfing with work today. He has not had much energy or gone anywhere himself in weeks. We both think it will be great all around to get out of the house but worry if he will physically hold up. He even tried to back out of golf last week, but the teammates refused and said they just wanted him to come hang out even if he did not swing the club.
Turned out the day went well. We put icy-hot on his back, he took a pain pill, and we prayed up for the day. Chris swung for two holes then took a little break riding in the golf cart and fellowshipping. He said he was not connecting with the ball as well has he would like too thus his long game was not what it usually was but Lisa told him it would return with his health soon and to just enjoy being out there. He resumed playing the short game after sitting out a few holes. He did text that he was able to sink a putt for birdie one time when Lisa texted to see how it was going. Their team finished 5 under par in the tournament and Chris felt well enough to drive home although he was exhausted when he got home. Thankful he got to get out and play a game he loves with friends and coworkers.
Chris loved getting a picture before he left (sarcasm!)
Surprisingly, he sent one from the golf course too (shocked!)
