The girlies woke up to breakfast of their choice at Mimi’s. They love breakfast at Mimi’s! Both of them fueled up for the day then Mimi drove them home and helped pack lunches and get the Comfort girls out the door for their fun day at Girl Scout camp

Lisa hung out with Leia’s troop for the morning. These girls rolled with it as the canoes were locked up, the gate to the hike was locked, and the geocaching failed … thankful the pool was open, even though it was freezing. After their troop swam we decided to head out to see if we could find a little more fun since most the activities were a bust at camp

Ivy has been with her troop since kindergarten. It is such a sweet group of girls! Thankful for the friendships she has with these sweet girls and the friendship Lisa has with the momma’a. Lisa ventured over while Leia swam to see how their morning had gone. Her leader said it had been rough since several of their activities were not available either.

Love that her leader brought snacks and a craft for these girls if they had downtime. We did not know how much downtime they would have, glad her leader had a plan B

Sweet Ivy let Leia do some on the birdhouse too just before we left.

Lisa asked the girls about lunch and shopping but they both wanted to get home. We headed home and they ended up playing with neighbors most the afternoon and evening. Grandpa and Deedee had came in town to hangout with Chris while Lisa was at the Girl Scout event too. The Ryder Cup was on so they were all well entertained watching golf and football. Deedee made fried chicken for dinner then she and the girls crafted

That evening the girls had fun with grandpa

Thankful they came while Chris’s girls had planned to be with Girl Scouts all day
Sunday morning Grandpa and Deedee took Ivy on a breakfast date to Waffle House while Lisa picked up McDonalds for Leia; both girlies got what they wanted. We all hung around the house all morning. The Ryders Cup was on TV for Chris, Gene, and Darrell. The girls entertained themselves downstairs and Lisa worked in the yard a little. That afternoon we headed to Gardendale to take the girls to Mo’s Carriage Ride to ride horses. Chris hung out with Mimi at her house but the other 5 of us headed to the trail. We all got mounted up to head out for some fun. It was a great ride. Only mishap was that Deedee and Lisa’s horses were not friends so when Patch tried to kick Jaguar and ended up missing to kick Lisa’s leg. The horse was strong and ended up giving a bruised bone and small cut, nothing a little ice and neosporin did not fix. We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Mimi’s and finished one of the ball games on TV before heading home to chill out for the evening.

Grandpa tried hiding in the group shot so he got one of his own.

Thankful for the time to have a little fun on horses and a great leader, Mo
