Chris’s Biopsy Day

Monday morning rolled around after a sleepless night. Chris was headed to the hospital today to get a biopsy on what would have been Papa’s 67th birthday. We prayed we would get answers soon after this procedure and thought it being scheduled for today could be a God wink to us. Gene was our uber driver since Lisa could not drive with her foot and Chris could not drive home. We were dropped off at the front of the hospital only to find out that the doors were locked so we walked over to the parking deck. Gene arrived right after we checked in too. Chris was only suppose to have one person but we decided he should have double the support. We waited for a couple hours before they called Chris back; his procedure was apparently scheduled for 8am but we were told to arrive at 6am.

After they called him back we checked the board more times than we can count. We were relieved to hear when the procedure was over that his vitals looked good and Chris was requesting his phone since he had to be in recovery to be monitored a minimum of 2 hours. Gene and Lisa walked down to the lobby since there was no chance of seeing Chris during this time. Chris and Lisa texted throughout the two hours. We headed back up a few minutes before his two hours was up to wait for the nurse to call the waiting room phone again then headed to get the car when she did for Chris to meet us. Chris was able to take his anti-inflammatory medicine again after the procedure which provided some pain relieve we were so thankful his pain was relieved. The rest of the day was a low key day where we snuggled with the girls ordered in Thai food and simply enjoyed just being together.

In the waiting room and evening snuggles thankful it was over and praying for good results

We cling to hope through faith that God will strengthen us through this challenge
