Leia

Breakfast with Santa

Saturday our family got up early to go have breakfast with Santa at the Mcwane Center.

To get Leia to put on clothes with a smile on her face/willingly, she got to pick what herself, sister, and even mommy wore (we had gotten out 3 choices for each). Upon arriving Leia was greeted by her cousins Sara and Katie. They were excited to go see Santa, whereas Leia was not sure what was going on but she hit her stride quickly. Of course we had to wait in line to see the most popular guy in the room that morning.

Sara and Katie climbed up in Santa’s lap first. Sara told him she wanted Cinderella and a Belle dress; Katie wanted a Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. Leia walked up and sat but still looked a little apprehensive at first. Ivy did great sitting up with him, all smiles. When Leia warmed up she told Santa she wanted mermaid and Tinkerbell.

Of course, the  adults had to see Santa and tell them what they wanted ;).

After we were finished taking pictures with Santa and telling him what everyone wanted, we all sat down to a delicious breakfast. The girls all ate well then it was off to go play in the winter wonder land.

Leia’s favorite by far was the zip line! Each of the girls rode it 4 or 5 times. Since they started several feet off the ground mommy or daddy went with them. Notice, daddy is holding the rope making sure she didn’t fly through the air to quickly; mommy let her go as fast as she could while reminding her to hang on tight.

Next up the girls went to play in the ‘snow’. Leia was not that impressed with the ‘snow’ and ventured back to the zip line rather quickly while Sara and Katie played.

Ivy’s fun during zip line and snow … undivided attention from Mimi and Papa’s

There was also lots of trains around that the girls enjoyed watching and playing conductor with the buttons.

Then there was more pictures in Santa sleigh and hanging upside down with daddy.

It is difficult to get 4 kids and 2 grandparents looking at the camera all at once where you can see everyone’s face.

We attempted to get a girls picture but Katie or Leia wouldn’t corporate

We almost forgot about the craft time they had there too. They were packing up so we grabbed the girls and mommy got to tell everyone how to do it by putting Ivy’s together. Sara and Katie ended up finishing up Leia’s when she lost interest but she did it all except the eyes.

Ivy wanted to do crafts too or Papa was pinching her 😉

Uncle Mark got snuggle time to calm her while Papa helped the older girls

Katie showed everyone her finished project

After all the fun it was time for us to head home and rest up for Leia’s friend, Kellum’s birthday party that evenings. Before leaving the girls got to slide down a flight of stairs; fearless Leia led the way.

I think we will be back next year to have breakfast with Santa and play. Everyone had a great time!
