Ivy’s Ear Rings

We have always gotten the girls ears pierced as soon as possible on my side of the family. (Luckily Chris doesn’t mind me taking the girls to get their’s done; he just does not want to go watch it even though he watched the my c-sections.) In Alabama, a infant must be 3 months old to get ear rings so Ivy went at 3 months and 1 day to get her’s pierce. Of course Mimi went with us like she has with her other 3 grand-girls (I neglected to get a picture of them there 🙁 sorry, Mimi!). We had to wait a little bit since there was another young girl getting her’s pierced when we arrived. During the wait Ivy started getting a little sleepy and even feel asleep sitting up in mommy’s lap. However, mommy holding her arms for the first piercing woke her up and she was mad. After the first ear was pierced she told us all about it but we pressed on to get the other ear pierced too. Overall she did great! Now she has bling-bling on her ears like mommy, sister, Mimi, and most the rest of the girls in the family. Thank you Mimi for going with us, getting Ivy’s ear rings, and the pictures; we love you!

In the chair ready for ear rings

Ivy started to get a little sleepy

Mommy loving on her and trying to keep her awake

Marking her ears; time is getting close for her pretty ears to have diamonds

Ivy decided it was time to sleep; Mimi and I thought it was comical she fell asleep sitting up

It only lasted until mommy restrained her arms

The crying only lasted a few seconds after the piercing (mommy did give her the pacifier)

Look at how pretty Ivy’s ear are adorned with diamonds
