Monday morning, Grandpa and Deedee took the Ivy to her dive practice and stayed to watch her while Lisa worked, Leia chilled, and Chris packed to go to the plant for the night. Lisa and Leia gave Chris hugs when he left then met them for breakfast after practice before Grandpa and Deedee headed back to Newnan. When we got home Lisa got back to work while the girls entertained themselves downstairs for most the day. That evening the girls got to pick dinner and we had game time, movie time, and FaceTime with daddy. So blessed to have such sweet, wonderful little girls!

Tuesday morning we were up early for horseback. Horseback has been fun this summer but the 6am arrival time has worn on us all; we all were happy it was the last one. Lisa went to pick up Ivy early for her dive practice and Leia asked to leave too since her foot had been stepped on by a horse again. Lisa agreed to both girls leaving since our carpooler, Mckenzie felt faint and went home early to save a yo-yo drive. We did pick up groceries and of course Ivy wanted to smell the body wash that ended up popping up on her face. The day was pretty low key after we got home with work and playing here. Chris got home that afternoon and we had family time watching the girls play twister and entertain us with their shenanigans, they were hyper.
All three comfort ladies busted out laughing at the body-wash popping on Ivy’s face when she tried to smell it

Fun time watching the girlies play twister

Wednesday Ivy had a regional dive competition. Mimi, Leia, and Mommy were able to go to cheer on our diver. She did great! Her group had the most in it so took longer than expected but Ivy got to do 3 dives from the 1M board and 3 from the 3M board or high dive. This was the first time Ivy had ever jumped off the high dive but she did amazing! She ended up with 4th place on both boards. After she finished we met Stacy, Katie and her friend, Kristen for lunch then headed home to finish work and pick up the girls friends for a little night swim at Mimi’s. The girlies all seemed to have a great time. Leia’s friend, Anna Claire had dance camp the next morning so had to go home but Ivy’s friend, Evelyn came back to spend the night with us.

So proud of VSA for a great finish, 3rd all around on their 1st year of diving

Our girls made Oreo balls all by themselves today too

Fun time with friends! Energizing for a night of swimming

Night swimming with friends complete with team race

These two a so much fun and may keep us on our toes when they get in their teens

Dive practice into the night

Of course there were photo ops for little sis and Leia organized a bumper boat game, Oreo, silent and more for everyone to enjoy
Thursday morning all 3 littles were up by 7. Momma cooked breakfast and they all watched Zero Chill and played horse game downstairs. Evelyn’s mom asked Evelyn and Ivy if they want to go swim at her grandmother’s mid-morning. Lisa took them but Evie’s ear started hurting so Ivy opted to go to Costco and meet Mimi with momma. Once we picked up our stuff we grabbed Leia to go to lunch and to Clothes Horse for a little back to school shopping. Mimi took the girlies back to her house for the night since Lisa had training all day the next day. They had fun with Mimi while momma and daddy had an impromptu weeknight date. It was nice getting to go have seafood and some one on one time to talk uninterrupted
The little ladies spent the day, Friday with Mimi while momma and daddy worked. Lisa’s ear had started hurting so she babied it while Chris napped part of the day. Glad the girlies had fun at Mimi’s since we were dudes Friday evening, although we did binge watch a horse show with them called Heartland.
Who looks like they had more fun?? … Pretty sure it is the girls with Mimi

Saturday, horse back lessons were cancelled so we chilled in the morning. Sweet Mimi ran to the store since her baby girl’s ear was messed up and she knows when a ear infection comes energy level plummets. We headed to Mimi’s mid afternoon to prep for our guest at Mimi’s house since we invited the Evans to Mimi’s pool that afternoon for cookout and night swimming. It was a fun night full of laughter and sweet fellowship.
Fun evening with sweet friends

Love our baby girls sleep together every once in a while and hearing their sweet laughter

Sunday provided us another chill morning. Savoring the last days of summer. After church and morning R&R we headed to Mimi’s for lunch with family. The ladies enjoyed watching Katie, Leia and Ivy swim. Chris chilled out inside and grilled fish. Mark washed his car and grilled chicken for the non-fish eaters. It was one of the best lunches full of good meat and fresh veggies. The Rhoads headed home for D-group meeting that evening while we chilled out watching our mermaid Ivy swim until she was swam out. Ivy has swam more than anyone else in the family this summer at Mimi’s pool.
Love that these three are still young enough to still play and use their imaginations
