We started the week after Ivy’s birthday with a weather day as the state anticipated strong storms as a result of hurricane Irma. Thankful that storms weakened before they arrived in Birmingham and that we do not have to make the day up since the governor called a state of emergency ahead of the storm. Monday was a day spent at home purging out closets and playing with the girls. We were all happy when daddy got home early and did not have to spend the night at the office but he did have to work from home most of the afternoon. The girls hoped for another day off on Tuesday but with the winds predicted to be out of the area mid-morning we were thankful to get a late start which was welcomed by all.
Loved the late start and enjoying hot chocolate on a cool fall morning

Mimi decided to have some one on one time with each grand-girl so Tuesday was Leia’s turn. Mimi lets each grand-girl pick what they want to do. Leia’s pick was feeding ducks at Star Lake near our house followed by shopping at the mall and dinner before she said she was ready to go home. We surprised her though and when Mimi brought her home mommy and daddy had taken Ivy out on a dinner date so then Leia got to watch StarWars with Mimi and tell her all about it; daddy is trying to tell Leia to have a date like that with mommy since mommy falls asleep watching it and never watched the whole thing but really is there a need to break a good streak.
Fun at Star Lake! Leia had been asking to go about a week but with the weather we had not made it so glad she got to go with Mimi

Fun at the mall trying on clothes, looking in the lego store, riding the carousal, having dinner, and roaming around

While Mimi had Leia Mommy stayed to watch Ivy at gymnastics. She loves it and face lit up overtime she looked up and saw mommy focused on her (the only time the phone was out was to snap a couple pictures and take a video to send to daddy since mommy was impressed with our girls skills)

After gymnastics we went to Chuck-e-Cheese for a little fun and we wanted something fun to do before daddy took us to dinner at Ivy’s choice

Wednesday was a full school and work day so it was not as fun as the start of the week but at least it would be a shorter week for us all. Thursday, the girls got to have fun at gymnastics after school. Chris picked them up and took them to Star Lake for the food truck and neighborhood gathering while mommy went to her appointment.
Funday Friday! Chris went to play golf and the girls had a playdate after school. We were pumped for the fun times with friends. The girls all decorated a mug so everyone had a keep sake to take home, cooked brownies/ate the brownie batter, played outside, and then it was free play inside when the fun day turned into a bad day. One of our sweet friends tumbled down the stairs and broke her arm. Mommy and the girls were really worried about her as we waited to hear what the doctors had to say. To occupy ourselves as we waited we went to the store to make her a “happy basket” or “feel better soon gift”. Turned out she broke it in two places.
Fun little craft!

Yum yum brownie batter! It ended up in the floor too …. messy house, fun house
Sweet girls with great imaginations

Not a good way to end the week or start the weekend 🙁

Our Ivy woke up asking about her sweet friend but they had something to do till late that afternoon so we could not deliver her present that morning. Ivy entertained herself finishing her mug and playing with Leia but was anxious to make her delivery and kept asking when she could deliver her gift. So thankful when 3 o’clock came and we were able to deliver the little gift to sweet Ivy. It was nice to see her sweet smile on her face when we arrived and she perked up and started running around the house. We are praying it heals quicker than the doctors expect! That evening a neighbor came to hang out while her parents were getting pictures of her little brother then we ended up having the neighbors over to watch the Alabama game.
Sweet Ivy climbed in the sack her gift came in

Sunday, the girlies headed out to Mimi’s for one last swim int the pool this year. On the day when the high was 63 she called about closing it up. Of course now the summer heat is back but the pool is still a little too cool. The girls did not seem to mind the 76 degree water but did say it was cold after they got out.
Love how these two love each other! Blessed to have two beautiful, amazing daughters with sweet spirits
Enjoying the last day in the pool this year with their cousins
Sweet Ivy chilling at dinner with the family wondering when they were going to get home to play with their new toy

Evening fun playing with the new set Mimi bought them

Ivy likes pictures as much as mommy! She said mommy lets take a selfie

Leia thinks it is cool to let Ivy borrow her clothes right now. Hoping this will stay that way when they hit the teenage years. Leia helped Ivy roll the pants legs up and take up the straps of her overalls so she could wear them to school. Mommy made Ivy wear shorts under it too just in case they fell off.

A terrific Tuesday! After school Ivy went to gymnastics while mommy and Leia went home to meet a guy working on our little house project. Leia rocked knocking her homework out while mommy met with him then we picked up little sis to come back home and cook dinner. The girls wanted to fix a appetizer but we did not have all the ingredients so they decided to bake cookies and decorate them. Sweet Maddie ended up coming over for a little while too as we sat down to eat so we grabbed a extra plate and she helped the girls decorate the cookies after they cooled and got to play a little bit.
Leia is awesome! She knocked out her reading while sissy was at gymnastics so we could have some fun after it

Sweet girls decided to bake while mommy cooked dinner

Maddie came over a little bit since her dad was stuck in traffic and ended up helping ice the cookies

Ummm, she wants to be like Ivy Bailey

Sweet girls making bracelets for their friends at school

Ivy was excited for her turn for one on one time with Mimi to come around. Equally excited was Leia that she would get one on one with mommy like Ivy did. Leia lucked out and got one on one with mommy and one on one with daddy. After school Leia got all her homework done so we could go to Chuck-e-Cheese for a little fun. Ivy ended up asking Mimi to go there at the end of their date so they met up with us and mommy took Ivy home then daddy took Leia to her dinner date since Ivy had already ate and got some one on one time too.
Ivy said her date with Mimi was awesome! Of course her first stop was the mall with Mimi. She loves her sisters overalls and had already decided she was going to buy some. Of course this little monkey has Mimi wrapped around her finger so she got to do whatever she wanted at the mall. She got to ride on the animals that she said “mommy never let her ride on”, ride the carousal, eat popcorn AND cotton candy (again she said, “Mommy you never buy both for me”), and pick dinner spot at McDonalds. After they left the mall she asked Mimi to go to Chuck-e-Cheese and they ended up bumping into mommy and Leia on our date so we had a double date the rest of the time we were there.
This little monkey had fun on her date with Mimi!
She likes shopping at Justice
Shopping, carousal and the animal ride … big day!
Loved that we ended up on a double date

While daddy had sissy out Ivy entertained mommy with her BB8 costume she made
We have had a little construction project going on at our house. Mommy thought it would be cool if the girlies got to put their handprints in the concrete and write the year so they got checked out early since it was starting to set and we did not want it to be too hard for the imprint. They were all about it! Leia ended up drawing us a rainbow too then put smiley faces on it. We will have the memories cemented for years to come.
Mimi was at the house too and got to enjoy homework time with the girlies afterwards

Long day but the girls had to make room for big bear in the bed. Big bear gets more room than mommy when they sleep with me
Daddy was cleaning the sidewalk from the mud and managed to have fun while doing ti! Mommy did not have as much fun laying grass but thankful for Mimi helping two days and Mr Al on Saturday

These little cuties enjoyed playing tropical paradise in the front yard where we put some extra sand. Love their imaginations! When we pulled out the water balloons the dads became fun targets, making them more fun

Wow, you have had a busy few weeks and glad you had such a great time too!! Love, Aunt Joy
Love that u share your family with all of us?????
