After fabulous kick-off to our breaks with our dates we hoped the girls would sleep in but they were awake by six o’clock ready for a game of Monopoly Jr with mommy. Then Leia suggested making muffins that she snd Chris bought when they ran by Publix after dinner last night. They mixed, poured them in the muffin tin and put them in the oven all by theirselves while mommy cleaned the kitchen. While they were baking Lisa cooked eggs and bacon to go with the muffins while the girls started another round of Monopoly until daddy woke up and it was time to eat. A game of freeze dance was on their agenda next before they asked mommy to take the, to Walmart to spend a gift card they both had while daddy worked on the computer. We pick up Mimi to join in our day of fun shopping. Leia ended up with a Pompom Wow and Ivy got Moana barbie and soft doll after searching all the aisles. Sara and Katie were on the way to Mimi’s so we headed back to play with them a little while and have lunch. Mimi gave each of them 2 or 3 surprises (a nightgown, a shirt, and ginger bread house kit). They played all types of stuff from the sound of it but no one wanted to play horse with Ivy so Mimi, Mark, and mommy played horse (we gave her a ride then she gave Mimi a ride since she wanted to be the horse). After playing outside and enjoying some warmer weather late that afternoon headed back home to unload the goods from Walmart (somehow Lisa ended up with multiple bags)and pick up daddy for dinner with Mimi and Mr Al before Lisa went on her Broadway date with Mimi and the girls went home with daddy to go to bed and rest up.
Morning fun at home

Santa was at Walmart but it was “not the real Santa” according to Leia. Mimi let them have a little fun in the arcade room on the way out too. Throughout the season the girls put money in the red bucket on the way in and out any store that we go to that has the bucket. Mommy remembers as a child we always put money in the buckets when we passed by to help buy Christmas for kids that wouldn’t have it otherwise. We want our children to remember the season is about giving and helping too so it is just a small little something to try to teach them.

Playing horsey with Ivy. Just before this picture Ivy was in full out tears because no one would let her be the horsey. Love this child and her Mimi!

Girls wanted to see Santa before we left

Sunday morning, the girls were in mommy’s room asking her to get up at 6:00 to play. Lisa rolled out of bed but not as quick as they wanted so they had a game of Monopoly started when she walked into the den. Leia convinced Ivy they should play without mommy but mommy kept a eye on the game since big sister wanted to make sure she won so it was all honest play. They did not make it through a full game before Leia remembered they should get the Pompom Wow and asked mommy to help set it up for a little fun. Lots of morning fun making Pompom Wows and daddy playing DJ for Ivy sining Moana songs while mommy fixed breakfast before we went to church. On the way home from church we stopped by Publix so we did not have to get back out on the cold, rainy day. Chris rested the afternoon since he was not feeling well while Lisa and the girls baked. The afternoon was full of baking fun so we could share the merry treats with our neighbors. the girls took breaks when they needed too and ran around the house playing. After everything was cooked we tried delivering a few but it was so cold we opted to wait until tomorrow to finish the deliveries. Chris woke and played a game of uno with the girlies while Lisa cleaned up a little and set up a table for gingerbread houses for the girls playdates on Monday. That evening the girls asked mommy to snuggle and watch Frosty so the rest of the cleaning waited and we snuggled; must have the priorities straight. Unfortunately, late Sunday night Leia’s friend had to cancel so we will be making a plan B in the morning but Ivy’s friend is still coming.
Sunday morning fun
Baking with our house chefs and decorating cookies

Mommy forgot to get a picture of all the cookies but these here ones left after we delivered to neighbors
Monday, morning we all slept in till a little before 7 then snuggled on the couch a few minutes before we did our morning chores. The girls were excited for Mia to be coming over and waited on the bench beside the front door. When she arrived mommy finished up cooking breakfast then served the girlies snowmen and candy cane pancakes. After breakfast the girls started decorating their ginger bread houses until they lost interest and headed to the play room. They played elf, Santa and child, Pompom Wow, and more while Lisa visited with Mia’s mom, Alexia. Our friends left about lunch time just a few minutes before daddy got home. Sara, Katie, Stacy, and Mimi came to visit that afternoon too. The girls played here a little bit while Stacy went to the store. When she returned to take them home the girls were not ready to stop playing so the four littles all headed to the Rhoads house. Mommy followed a little later after getting some things done at the house to visit with aunt Stacy. The girls wanted to do dinner there so Chris headed over too for a evening of fun. It was a fun filled day and we all were ready to bed when our heads hit the pillow.
Tuesday morning we got up and enjoyed a little snuggle time before we went to get Hardee’s for breakfast treat. After breakfast there was a little more snuggling before Ivy and Mommy mixed up gingersnap cookies while Leia played Pompom Wow. Between putting cookies in the oven we read part of a Christmas story and the girls played Uno waiting on time to play with their cousins while mommy baked brownies. According to Ivy best part about baking brownies is eating the batter so of course we all grabbed a spoon before Mommy finally got the girls to leave the house at noon. Mommy had been trying to get them to go to McWane, mall, a movie, Chuck-e-Cheese, anywhere they wanted for a fun mommy-daughters day …. Chuck-e-cheese finally won out then we went to the movie, “Stork” since that was where Sara and Katie went with their aunt Stacy. The 4 little monkeys came back to the house so they could decorate a Christmas tree brownie and play. They all played but sweet Sara and Ivy was interested in decorating theirs brownies. Uncle Mark arrived to get our cousins then we headed out for a family date night. Leia chose to eat at the place that “cooks shrimp in front of us” and then after dinner we went to see Christmas lights. It was a fun family night! Love seeing the smiles on our girls faces!!

Night time fun at home

Wednesday, Leia got to have her long awaited play date with Anna Reed. Anna Reed’s brothers, Cole and Jarret came to play as well. We had a big pancake breakfast, decorated ginger houses, made Christmas card, and played. Ivy preferred having fun playing by herself while everyone else decorated houses since she was not interested but had a blast playing super heroes when Jarret decided he was done decorating the house too. All the little ones were fabulous artist decorating houses and cards! Everyone had a great time but our friends had to leave a little before lunch so they could get home since they had grandparents coming to visit. Lisa and the girls delivered some more of the Christmas goodies to neighbors that were gone when we tried to deliver earlier in the week. We had a great time visiting with Stewart’s a little bit when we dropped off the treats before heading to Mimi’s to play with our cousins. Sweet little Ava was there too with Sara and Katie so the girlies had a great time playing. Lisa left to head home to go on a date night with Chris and the girlies stayed to have a spend the night party at Mimi’s. They got to go to dinner at Hamburger Heaven then had a movie night with Mimi and Mr Al. Mommy and daddy enjoyed a great night out then nice evening cuddled up watching Hallmark movies.
These two love being together. Treasuring these morning when we don’t have to run out of the house and the watching these two love on each other

Facetiming with our girls except they did not really want to talk to us but their cousins did
Thursday morning Lisa and Chris woke up to a quiet house and unfortunately neither took advantage of sleeping in during our golden opportunity. However, Lisa did get the last of the gifts wrapped and started straightening the house before we went to breakfast and Mimi came to pick up her phone and Lisa. Mimi said the girls woke up at 6:45 (they slept in but they went to bed extra late so…). Of course everyone got to pick their breakfast then play until they were all ready to leave the house. The girls pick for fun activity was “Let’s Play”. It had been a while since they had gone there but it was as fun like always. The girls stayed about 3 hours before everyone finally got hungry. Leia and Ivy got lunch at chickfila and Sara got to get Habaneros while sweet Katie picked a peanut butter and banana sandwich when we got back to aunt Lisa’s. The four munchkins played here a short time before Mimi had to take Sara and Katie home to pick up dinner she’d ordered for Stephanie on her birthday. The Comfort clan stayed in the rest of the day. Chris and Leia watched Star Wars while Lisa and Ivy played board games. Then after the fun time it became family clean-up time since we had let things slide all week. With everyone pitching in it did not take long then the girls got a little down time before we called it a night.
Mimi surprised the girls with surprises

Fun day with Mimi and cousins

Friday morning was the best yet. It was a morning where mommy got lots of snuggles and sweet time with the girlies. We woke up snuggled on couch watching tv together then daddy came to join us when he got up. After breakfast Lisa headed to get changed but loving Leia came in to ask for little more snuggle time and we laid in bed talking for 30 minutes before ivy came in and joined our snuggle part and girl talk time for 15 minute. Telling jokes, laughing and talking about life. So enjoyed just being with our girls! They are amazing!! Grandpa and Deedee arrived that morning too. They took the girls, Chris, Sara, Katie, and Mark to Urban Air, a trampoline place while Lisa went to the mall on Christmas Eve Eve. The girls had a blast at the jump place! Then went to Chick-fil-A for lunch before coming home. Lisa followed home shortly after finishing at mall and grocery store. We got to visit a little while before we headed to the Wood’s for dinner, play, and ginger bread trees. It was a fun evening to share with friends and family!
Morning snuggles and morning fun

Girls at Urban Air with Deedee and Grandpa. Mommy wasn’t’t there so when asked if they got any pictures and Chris said yes Leia’s perked up to inform mommy, “daddy took so many pictures of himself”. We died laughing! The pictures of himself are all blurry though. All the kids (Chris and Mark included) had fun playing!
Enjoyed a lunch with Mimi and sister while returning things at the mall and picking up a couple last minute things
