We have been busy so here is the rest of August wrap, minus a few incredible memories where we needed to unplug and not have the phone to focus on time together and savoring the moments.
Leia spent the night with Sara and Katie one evening and Ivy was a little sad so aunt Stacy asked her to babysit Katie’s baby, William since the big girls had to go to school anyways. Great idea! Ivy loves William and it is Katie’s so made it even more special. We were only suppose to have it two nights but kept forgetting to leave it or put it in the Rhoads’ girls bag when they left our house so we had it 4 nights. Ivy did a great job keeping him and took great care of baby William. She was so proud they trusted her to keep him.

We enjoy our weekends with our big girl even more than normal knowing she has to go to school everyday. Thankful mommy still has little sister home more than not 🙂

Love our sweet nieces and spending time with them too!

Friday, before aunt Stacy’s birthday we got to have a spend the night party with our cousins since uncle Mark wanted to take Stacy out on a birthday date. Lisa picked the 3 big kids up from school on Friday then headed for special treats before getting home. They played then after dinner we went for a late night swim with Morgan. Saturday the girls played some more, cooked pretzels, and enjoyed themselves before we headed to Mimi’s to celebrate aunt Stacy’s birthday.

Happy Birthday to aunt Stacy

On Stacy’s real birthday Lisa had to work since she had a few meetings that should not cancel but she got to meet the birthday girl and Mimi for lunch to wish her a happy birthday on her real birthday

We also got to have a fun spend the night party with Morgan at our house. These little monkeys have a blast together!

Daddy’s 62nd birthday would had been this year. Mimi, Lisa and Ivy went to send him balloons in Heaven. So thankful he is living in paradise and the legacy he has left. Sweet Ivy hugged the tombstone since she couldn’t hug his neck. Thankful for the years we had but still wish it would had been longer.

Love that we still celebrate daddy’s life on his birthday by going and doing something fun then getting the family together for dinner and cake, only now Mimi or the kids blow out his candles. Happy Birthday daddy/Papa!

Leia does park and walk at her school on days mommy can pick her up. Ivy is always ready to get sister. Treasuring the times watching them walk hand in hand and being able to walk hand in hand with them
hearing about their precious days.

Leia made sweet friends at IES so we had a special tea party after school one day for her to play with them. Leia said it was the best tea party every. Love to see the excitement on their faces for the enjoyment of life. I pray they always are full of joy for life.

Little sister moved up to big sisters class in Awanas at church. Leia took good care of her the first day to show her what she was suppose to do

Ivy got a special spend the night with Mimi since she will start Kindegarten and have to go 5 days a week from 9 to 12 and mommy wanted her to have a fin day but had to work the Thursday and Friday before she started on Tuesday. Of course sweet Ivy requested a movie party.

Since Ivy had a fun night, mommy and daddy decided Leia should get a fun date night too. Leia chose to go to the mall to buy Ivy a birthday present with her own money. I think she enjoyed having all of mommy and daddy’s attention that evening. Blessed to have a sweet girl with such a generous heart that wanted to surprise her sister on her birthday and willing to spend her own money to get little sis something special on her day.

On Friday after Ivy spent the night, Mimi, Ivy, and Mr Al went to have lunch with the big kids. So thankful Mimi was able too this week since mommy could not make it. We told Leia we would try to come weekly or make sure she had a special visitor until she got good and adjusted to her new school.

Sweet Ivy entertaining Mr Al while Mimi went to the doctor after they had lunch with the girls

Of course Leia wanted a special night with Mimi too so on Friday night she go her one on one with Mimi. Love that Leia likes pictures as much as mommy and tells people to take pictures.

Ivy got a special night with mommy and daddy too. She asked to go swim with Morgan so that is what we did

Then sweet Ivy snuggled up to daddy all night

Saturday, Leia got morning snuggles and cooked all types of stuff with Mimi until we arrived that afternoon.

Morgan and Janet came to play and have dinner that afternoon too

These two got to playing in daddy’s clothes. Love how they have fun doing everything. What a zest for life they have and share with us. Thankful we get to call them our little princesses!

We all love daddy! He is traveling for a longer trip than normal and left the later part of August. So thankful to be partnering with this handsome fellow in life. Enjoy your golf trip after the work part gets over my love!

Love snuggling, laughing, and living life with these two silly heads

Thankful Deedee came to help a week while Chris was gone. Girls were super excited she was staying 4 nights and they were going to get to have all kinds of fun. Ivy got to open her birthday presents too and even let Leia help her. Love starting birthday celebrations early and getting to stretch out the fun :)~

Sweet Ivy had her first day of kindergarten at God’s House Kindergarten. She technically misses the cutoff for public school but going to k5 at her daycare. She was pumped today. Hope she is when she realizes she has to go 5 days a week.

Waiting to pick up sissy with Deedee. Think K5 wore her out

The girls asked Deedee to bring stuff to do cake pops. They love to cook

So proud of our big girl she got a “West Way Nomination” for helping clean up in the lunch room. With the nomination she got a free Chickfila gift card so she can buy herself dinner one evening.

The day Deedee left daycare called and Ivy spiked a fever so she had to go home. She must had been missing Deedee and not had been happy that she had to stay all day. Thankful for the week Deedee spent with us and all her help 🙂

It sounds like you are very busy with school and getting ready for your move too!! Enjoy the holiday weekend!! Love, Aunt Joy
