First year we had a real spring break with the girls. Love the days when Leia is home with us and we get to go and have fun together. Spring break is a good tease of summer day fun to come. Looking forward to summer time more than we were before spring break. Love spending time with our girlies!
Weekend before spring break was Easter weekend … see previous post 🙂
Day 1
Girls stayed home with daddy while mommy worked. They had a lazy morning, lounging around then went to the gym and lunch at Waffle House with daddy before getting more play time at home with daddy that afternoon. When mommy got home we all stated packing for our trip. (Daddy did not take pictures)
Day 2
Aunt Stacy, cousins Sara and Katie arrived at 6:45 for breakfast. We were all off on our girl trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC by 7:15. Girls did great on the ride and we only had to stop for one gas/potty break and one lunch/potty break; it was a miracle that we only stopped twice. Our room was ready when we arrived at 2:30 that afternoon so we were able to get into the room unpack and suit up for the waterpark. The three big girls were fired up ready but sweet Ivy wasn’t so sure about it and took in the sights from the side of the wave pool. After a couple hours we headed to a local Mexican place and sweet frogs for dessert. Everyone was tired from the drive so watched the Disney channel and went to bed early that evening.
In route, every one did great on the drive

Evening treats always a hit with our girls
Day 3
We woke up early to head to breakfast, on the way we stopped to watch a clock tower show. The girls stayed to watch the show while the mommas went to grab a table for breakfast. When we looked back up all 4 monkeys were doing yoga. Once they finished their morning exercise they joined us for a buffet breakfast. Everyone enjoyed picking just what they they wanted. We arrived at the water park right after it opened and started riding rides, jumping in the wave pool, climbing over the leap pads, shooting water cannons, … having fun in the water. Ivy still was a little timid but enjoyed taking in all the fun. We took a break for lunch heading to a local place called 2 gals kitchen then to a park to run around a little bit before heading back to the water park. That afternoon/evening all 4 girls were joining in on the fun, laughing and playing. Aunt Stacy took the little sisters back to the room about 7:30 when they were ready to head back while aunt Lisa hung out with the big sisters riding rides and playing until they requested to head to room about 8:30. That evening the girls fell asleep rather quickly after the busy yet fun day.
Waiting on the water park to open entertaining ourselves
Loved watching our girls do yoga, unexpectedly

Water park opened for a morning of fun

We found out in the kids club area you could do crafts 🙂

Brave Sara went down the tornado with suit Lisa … she was a little nervous getting on but we rode it several more times afterwards although she always made Lisa go backwards
Day 4
Of course we woke early again but enjoyed some of the snacks we’d brought in the room for breakfast then watched Disney while the mommas gathered everything together. We made it to the morning yoga again then were first ones in the park that morning. We played a couple hours full speed ahead until the girls wanted a break (well all except Leia who would had stayed longer but we opted to get on the road). One the way home we made a detour to the cabbage patch hospital in Cleveland, GA. The girls enjoyed it but it was nothing like Stacy or Lisa remembered as a child since they had changed locations 6 years ago. They do a baby birth twice and hour then take it to the nursery and allow the kids to hold the new born after it’s ‘cleaned up’. It was funny that Ivy walked out with a stuffed dog instead of baby, Katie got one a original baby, while Leia and Sara got a little baby with stroller. We were thankful that the detour kept us from driving in the rain too much but next stop was homeward bound to see our daddies.
On the way home we stopped by the cabbage patch hospital

Day 5
After a busy, filled week the girls requested a home day to relax and play. We accommodated for the most part except for the trip up to the gym but they got to play with other kiddos up there and run around the building to get a little exercise. The rest of the day they were able to spend at home doing just what they wanted to do. Mommy and daddy opted to take turns running errands not to interrupt the little princesses home day they requested. That evening we did a family movie night and just enjoyed being together.

Weekend after spring break
We spent the weekend much like any other weekend hanging out with our family, playing, and enjoying time with those we love.

It looked like a great time for everyone and such a nice way to spend Sring Break together!! Love, Aunt Joy
