Our family won a pizza and movie night from Leia’s class for answering weekly questions. Her teacher gave us the movie “The Tale of Despereaux” and a pizza kit to make at home. That afternoon after Lisa picked up the girls they asked to make the teacup cakes for desert so we preceded to start cooking. Leia did a great job measuring everything then little Ivy poured it into the mix. Before we could cook anything else they had to have a bath since there was cake mix in Leia’s hair from enjoying the left over batter. Mommy mixed up the dough since it had to sit 10 minutes while the girls played in the bath then they patted it out and shaped it before spreading sauce, cheese, and toppings. We all enjoyed their hard work cooking dinner then the girls got to pop popcorn and decorate their tea-cakes while we started the movie. Throughout the movie we all enjoyed “popcorn trash” (popcorn with treats, pretzels, or something mixed in with it), tea-cakes, and snuggles. Thankful for this time and a great family fun filled night.
