What a great extra long weekend with family. Friday, Leia was home from school since when we picked her up Thursday she had a 102 degree fever; doc said a fever virus and said no school until she was symptom free 24 hours. We will take a 4 day weekend :). Friday she woke fever free so we took advantage of it by having a fun day while daddy worked. That afternoon we headed to visit Grandpa and Deedee and see their new house. Girls got to stay up a little late Friday to explore and play. Grandpa and Deedee’s new house is beautiful and the girls said they liked it. Saturday, aunt Kelly and uncle Diego made yummy shrimp panang curry and the kids had a great time playing tea party, board games, putting on concerts, and exploring outside. That evening the Requena-Comfort clan had plans but we were able to christen the new dining room and toast Grandpa and Deedees new house and the memories we will get to make at their home. After dinner we explored the neighborhood looking at the houses under construction before going back to bake treats to watch the first Alabama football game of the season, roll tide. Sunday, Chris and grandpa were able to play golf. We were happy that Adrian and Alicia ended up getting to come play a couple hours even though they had plans most of Sunday. Then we were surprised the guys got home early from golf. The girls were ready to play chase with Grandpa right when they walked in the door. After a little while we packed up but was able to enjoy a late lunch before getting on the road. Instead of driving straight home as we original thought we decided to head to Mimi’s for a nighttime swim and a spend the night party there. On Monday, we were able to help cook a little lunch for Labor Day grill out and fun day with cousins Sara and Katie. Great weekend seeing all our family we love … blessed!
