The first weekend of the month, time for our one-on-one date night with the girls. This month mommy was suppose to take sweet Ivy and daddy was going to take princess Leia but Lisa and Leia were invited on a double date with another mom and daughter so we decided to switch it up. Such a sweet time building these precious memories with our girls.
Leia and Lisa’s first gymnastics meet. Leia had been wanting to see the “big girls” do gymnastics since she started back lessons this year. We went to dinner at Cypress Inn (a Tuscaloosa favorite) and to the gymnastic meet with sweet friends, Ashley and Abbey. Leia declared at the meet if she kept learning she would be out on the floor like the Alabama girls; we maybe going to more meets in our future.

Ivy chose to go to dinner and Chuck-e-cheese with daddy. She carefully got ready with mismatched socks for her date. Ivy chose to repeat her one-on-two from last weekend and went to Waffle House (one of the girls and daddy’s favorite places) and Chuck-e-Cheese. Daddy got to drive them on their date but Ivy practiced driving at chuck-e-cheese so later she can drive her daddy on dates in the future.

A “spring” day in February was a welcome surprise for a family fun day outside. We spent the day playing and taking in the glorious sunshine. Ivy liked playing mommy-daddy pushing a push toy; of course big sister joined in too. Leia and daddy played soccer with her while mommy grilled; we ended up going to the store to get a soccer ball. Love family days full of laughter, fun, and sweet time together. That evening daddy was blessed to have a double dinner date with his two girls while mommy went to a girls dinner with Stacy, Kristi, and Stephanie at Mimi’s house.
