Stacy celebrated her 35th birthday this year. Both her little princesses are in school so she got to have a mother-daughter day with Mimi shopping, pedicures, lunch and great company then they checked her munchkins out to let them enjoy some of the birthday festivities. Little Ivy and daddy were sleeping (he’d worked all night the night before) so our little family did not get to Mimi’s for the celebration until a few minutes after five but we made the most of it. The girls enjoyed seeing their cousins and celebrating Aunt Stacy’s day. Leia wanted to give Aunt Stacy her presents to make sure she knew Leia helped wrap them (she wrapped one for Ivy all by herself too – she is growing up), of course they also wanted to help unwrap the gifts. Stacy was able to extend her celebration with a birthday date night on Saturday; she is a smart girl to stretch it out. Hope you enjoyed your special day sister and celebrate the blessings we have in this life all year round. We love you bunches!
Festivities normally last a couple days in August since the day after Stacy’s big day is Papa’s day. All Papa’s girls and “boys” celebrated what would have been his 60th birthday. The celebration was complete with gifts and a party. Papa’s grand-girls each got a special surprise from Mimi and we enjoyed breakfast for lunch (breakfast was without a doubt Papa’s favorite meal), and then we went to send Papa balloons in Heaven. I am amazed at the strength and faith of our Mimi. We are all blessed with many happy memories Papa gave us during his life, got to witness the love he shared with his wife that illustrated a great marriage/team, and each felt the love he had for us. Happy Birthday Papa … not sure if you celebrate it in Heaven since I image every day in Heaven has to be a celebration since it is paradise but either way we celebrate the day you came into this world because it became a better place for each of us that day (heck several of us wouldn’t be here without you). Love and miss you, Papa!
