Ice/snow (or not) there’s no school

School and daycares alike closed across Birmingham in anticipation of icy roads after the fiasco a week and a half ago. We were spared today but schools and daycares were closed so Lisa told Stacy/Mark to bring Sara and Katie over so neither of them had to take off in case we have more unplanned days later. When Uncle Mark arrived all the girls were surprised they were dressed up as Frozen characters (2 Elsa’s and 2 Anna’s). They girls immediately started playing while Lisa finished breakfast and all enjoyed breakfast together – love having so much laughter at a breakfast table. The girls hurried off playing while Lisa set up next thug, valentine crafts. Ivy lost interest in craft time quickly but we got 3 crafts done with the older girls. The girls seemed a little restless inside and Lisa needed to run a couple errands so everyone loaded up in the car to run errands. We’d planned to go to mall to ride the carousel but our errands took a little longer than usual so we skipped the carousel and net Mimi for lunch. Before we even started eating lunch Sara asked if they got to have dinner with us; of course, aunt Lisa said if you want too and called her mommy to let her know they were staying. The girls had fun playing at Chickfila but alas we had to head home for Ivy to nap and Lisa to get stuff in order at home. The older girls played fabulous together while Lisa did her thing, made valentines, and enjoyed just being together. Blessed to get to stay home with them today! Tomorrow daddy gets the honor while mommy has to go to work.
