Lisa, Stacy, and Mimi took the girls to McWane to the ‘Winter Wonderland Exhibit’ despite everyone was still in need of rest on Friday when we got back from our Disney trip. The girls still were not tired of each other though and had a blast flying down the zip line (even Lisa and Mimi got in on the fun), zipping around the train tracks, sliding down the ice slide, and exploring the different areas at McWane. It had been so long so we visited that everything seemed new again to our girls.
Leia, Sara, Mommy, and Mimi all did the zip-line 🙂

Always fun playing with building blocks

Sara learned to play checkers, of course she won 🙂

The girls enjoyed going down the ‘ice’ slide
They caught the biggest fish possible ‘ice fishing’

The rest of the weekend was a blur trying to catch up on sleep. Sunday morning we went to the puppet show at church since Leia LOVED it last time then went to the movies to watch “Frozen”. Unfortunately after that we ran ourselves sick as the weekend ended in half of the Comfort clan sick.
Love these two and watching them enjoy themselves!

The girls at their first movie. Ivy ended up sleeping through most of it. Ivy and mommy also were decorated with coke from the people behind us. But we all enjoyed the indoor activity on a cold, rainy day and the movie was very cute 🙂

After Leia had been running fever almost a week Lisa finally broke down and took her to the doctor before heading to visit Grandpa, Deedee, aunt Kelly, uncle Diego, Adrian, Alicia, Pepita, and Diego Sr for the weekend. Lisa was leery taking Ivy into the sick area since she had been healthy so aunt Stacy said she would take her to Katie-bugs Christmas show. Luckily, the doctor confirmed she had a fever virus and her ear looked irritated; luckily her fever had broke so she should not be contagious any longer. Lisa and Leia headed to get Ivy to hit the road. However, when we arrived at Katie’s school they had just started their show. We grabbed a sit to watch sweet Katie’s fabulous performance. (Ivy was on the second row with aunt Stacy and uncle Mark so we did not want to walk up to grab her during the middle of the show). Afterwards, the girls wanted to give Katie a hug so they were able to share a cookie with her class before we headed out of town to celebrate Christmas with Adrian and Alicia where our adventure began.
Thank you for sharing a cookie with us Katie
