Ivy’s 2nd Birthday

Sweet Ivy is officially 2 as of 8:22 this morning. She is sweet, smart, a little sassy, gives great hugs and kisses, and brings an abundance of love and laughter into our family . Mommy and Daddy both had to work that morning so the girls went to school a few hours but she got to celebrate with her school friends. Daddy picked up donuts on the way to school to share with her friends. At 10:00 mommy arrived to get the girls from school early to start our 2nd birthday celebration for the day. Sweet Mimi came too and was waiting on us when we got home (Ivy did tell me she wanted to go to Mimi’s when i picked her up – no surprise). Ivy and Leia opened their gifts from Mimi before we all headed to lunch. Ivy requested pizza so we went to Olive Garden but she ended up eating the chicken fettuccine. The waiter brought her a big bowl of ice cream before we left that she shared with sissy. Next stop was build a bear. Mimi left big sister pick out a bear too – thank you Mimi. They had fun stuffing their bears, putting the heart in them, bathing them, and combing them before we got a birth certificate and put them in their houses. Next on the day of fun was the carousal. The girls got to ride twice for Ivy’s second birthday. Before we headed home everyone got to pick a cookie and share a treat (Leia said they were getting two treats since sissy is two now). Ivy was worn out from the morning activities! When Princess Ivy finally woke from her rest Daddy was home from work. Now that everyone was together she got to open her gifts from sissy, mommy, and daddy. The birthday girl chose dinner; no surprise she choice pizza – I’m thinking she just likes the word cause she wouldn’t eat it. After dinner we took cookies out to celebrate Ivy’s day with our neighbors and play until the bugs started biting us. The girls enjoyed a little more play time in the tub before it was time to say good night and bid Ivy’s 2nd birthday goodbye.
