Easter is more precious this year then ever before for our family. We celebrate that Jesus rose from the grave, conquering death to give his children a new covenant! Because of Jesus we have the assurance of seeing our Papa again and living together for eternity in the presence of our Savior. Papa has to be having the best Easter ever celebrating with the King of Kings for the his first Easter in Heaven. We miss you Papa and love you.
Happy Easter Daddy
We kicked off Holy Week watching our sweet kids come into church waving palm branches. Ivy was too little to do it at church but on the way home Leia split it to give Ivy a piece so they could wave them together. We continued getting ready for Easter doing crafts and resurrection eggs to tell the story of Jesus to the girls. Leia loved the eggs! She thought they were cool. We also hid eggs to prepare Leia for the family egg hunt on Easter. Ivy never quite grasped the concept of hunting them instead she wanted to watch them being hid then go hid them somewhere else but she would not hide a egg that needed hiding – silly girl.

Egg dying fun – I paused for a picture while sister continued working … I may have been more excited than the kids

Easter morning the Easter bunny visited our house and we got to sit down together for breakfast and digging into the baskets before church. At church we got a family picture, shared a cinnamon roll cake with friends we made, worshipped together as a family, then heard the glorious words that “Jesus has Risen”. After church we headed to Mimi’s to have lunch with family, have our family egg hunt, and enjoy precious time together.
