Breakfast with Santa 2012

On Saturday, December 8th we had planned on going to Breakfast with Santa with Grandpa and Deedee. Actually, we planned on going after a great time there last year. Cousins Sara and Katie, Stacy, Mark, Mimi, and Papa were going to miss it this year since they were suppose to be in Disney (I wish they would had been there having fun). Instead we were forced to go on our first family outing without Papa. Mimi is the strongest woman I know! (May God continue to give her strength, comfort, and peace as we are walking in the valley; she has gone through so much in the last three years losing her brother, mother, and her one and only love of 43 years.) Mimi’s smile and grace helped me make it through the day! The kids enjoyed themselves – telling Santa what they wanted, eating, riding the train, playing in the snow, conducting model trains, zip-lining, sliding in the ice slide, and playing on other exhibits at McWane. (Thank you Deedee, Grandpa, and Chris for getting Leia to do the things she loved last year again – she has been a little skittish about doing things recently. It was a joy to watch my baby girl enjoying herself.) In my heart I felt Papa was watching from Heaven cheering for the girls as they did each thing;  I could hear him in my head and see his sweet face light up from pride of his family when I closed my eyes. We are blessed to have our family so close! Love you all bunches and bunches!!

On the way in Sara played in a wind tunnel (aunt Lisa went in the first time with her)
