Mimi’s Birthday

Happy Birthday Mimi!

Lisa and Stacy wanted Mimi to have a very special day, an ideal day. She is to the most loving, most thoughtful, and strongest woman we know! We are blessed to have her as our mom and have her part of our family! Unfortunately, Mimi could not take off since she was holding the fort down at work while most the guys were out at a PD course. Thus, the girls went to Mimi’s office to celebrate. The conference room was turned into a party room and Mimi’s favorite girls were all there. (Mimi said her ideal day was spending it with family). In true Mimi fashion the grand-girls and her baby girls were more spoiled than herself. She got each of them a gift and let them chose their cake flavor for her birthday. We hung out until the youngest started to crash then headed to Aunt Stacy’s to wait on Mimi to get off and come over.

The girls were excited to open the gift Mimi gave them. They did not even give us time to snap a picture

Except Ivy who is still figuring the un-wrapping thing out

Ivy enjoyed exploring Mimi and Papa’s office!

Mimi got to open one present herself while the big girls were playing with their gift and Ivy was exploring

Yummy lunch with the girls

Ivy went to napped in Katie’s baby bed while the big girls all rested in Aunt Stacy and Uncle Mark’s bed. They thought it was cool to get to watch Barbie Mermaid and rest together. Not that any of them slept or really rested. Two of the three got up to potty then a pull-up needed to be changed. There was quite a bit of laughing and chatting going on the whole time but they weren’t so loud to keep Ivy up and were enjoying time together so Stacy and Lisa chatted too. Later we found out momma Sara was getting everyone drinks of water since they were thirsty (hence all the potty breaks). Love those girls! After rest time, it was time to decorate Mimi’s cakes (we made 4 little cakes so everyone had their own to decorate). Lisa had promised Leia that she could decorate one for Mimi since decorating Deedee’s birthday cake had stuck in her mind. Lisa could not mention Mimi’s birthday without Leia mentioning she needed to decorate Mimi’s birthday cake. Next up on the girl’s agendas was making Mimi a craft. After Mimi arrived we played until dinner was ready and ate. The girls were more excited to sing happy birthday to Mimi and eat the cake they decorated than they were to eat the chili. After dinner Mimi got help opening the rest of her presents then we left since the girls were tired.
