Lisa took her first ‘solo’ trip this weekend in years (no kids or husband) to attend and celebrate a long time friend, Kelly’s wedding. It was fun but boy did she miss the girls and Chris! Chris did awesome watching the girls!! They had fun picking up breakfast, going out for lunch and dinner, and getting some playtime in at McWane on Saturday. Sunday, the girls and Chris headed to Mimi and Papa’s for lunch and some fun play time for the girls/break with daddy (Leia told daddy she had to go see Mimi and Papa; it is our weekend tradition :)). Chris will add the pictures from their weekend together soon.
Upon landing in PA the first thing Lisa did was call to check in with Chris. He was so good about keeping her up to date on happenings. Lisa got to talk to them several times a day and even sang Leia night-night songs the nights she was away. FaceTime also made it better although baby Ivy did not like seeing mommy and not being able to get to her (made mommy happy and sad all at the same time). It was nice to have a short getaway and Leigh Ann was the perfect traveling buddy for the first trip away but the next trip will be a family affair.
