Halloween 2011 was exciting for our girls. It marked a first for each of them. It was Ivy’s first holiday in her life and Leia’s first Harvest party at school (of course sissy got to go too).
The party started at 9:00 (it was the earliest mommy has gotten out if the house with two girls alone but we did it in costume). Leia dressed up as Tinkerbell and Ivy was an Alabama cheerleader (Roll Tide). As soon as we arrived Leia was given a plate with a doughnut, cupcake, and cookie; oh and a juice box. Big hit with the kids! After they ate it was time for story time and a parade starring all types of princesses, fairies, and other Disney characters. Leia immediately found Katie-bug so Minney Mouse and Tinkerbell walked hand in hand throughout the parade. After the celebration ended Ivy and mommy went shopping so Leia could run off sugar with her friends.

After dinner Leia went trick or treating with mommy while daddy and Ivy passed out candy. Leia visited 6 houses before deciding we should go home to ‘see daddy and check on sissy’.

As soon as we got hone she wanted to dig into her stash. Daddy and mommy let her pick one treat before night night time. She enjoy her lollipop and we put the rest up for later. However she figured out there was lots more candy in the house when she started helping pass out candy (each person got two handfuls from Leia, so generous). I think Leia had more fun opening the door and passing out candy than collecting it; we will have to see if that is true next year.
