I [Chris] am writing this post as the day goes so the tense may seem odd.
We arrived at the hospital at 6am this morning; looking forward to the newest addition to our family: Ivy Michelle.
Lisa is ready to go, IVs are run, drugs taken, next is an epidural.
Well that idea went out the window. It is 9:15pm and I am just getting back to this post.
Ivy was born at 8:22am and is 7lbs 12oz and 21 inches long. Lisa and Ivy are doing great.
Ivy was delivered by c-section by the amazing Dr.Ross.
Once she was cleaned and weighed Daddy took her back to the recovery room to wait for Mommy.
Lisa arrived soon and quickly took Ivy and held her tight. A few minutes later Ivy was eating well.
After a semi-short delay we headed up to our room so that Lisa and Ivy could bond even more. A few visitors had to stop by to see Ivy.
Mimi, Stacy, Papa, Deedee, Grandpa, and of course Ivy’s big sister Leia.
Leia was happy to meet her little sister but was not totally sure what was going on. I think tomorrow she will do even better.
Lisa and Ivy are sleeping as I finish up this post.
I will leave you with a picture. I am writing this from my new non-apple very low cost tablet and don’t have access to all the pic and videos from today. Will post them when there is more time.

God bless you and your beautful new baby girl! Hope we get to see her in person soon as well as Leia who we haven’t seen for a long time. We love you and wish you much sucess with your children. U. John in the Ville
Congradulations to all of you. I know Lisa is glad to to welcome Ivy to the real world. Can’t wait to meet the new and older kids (again) Good Luck John B
