Leia

August 2018 (after school started back)

While Mimi was out of town Lisa, Leia and Ivy went to Mimi’s since she was having trees cut down to play and make sure every thing was done to Mimi’s standards. We missed daddy coming with us but he said he had to study.

The girlies enjoyed swimming while Lisa washed her car

But did come up to help for a few minutes

After Lisa finished it up the she joined the girlies in the pool for lots of fun and games

Our girlies self portraits we got to see at parent night

Leia lost her 13th tooth on Saturday August 11th. We did not get a picture of her tooth missing but did snap a picture as she was waiting on the tooth fairy to come

Leia had her first girl scout meeting. Excited to see how much both of our girlies will grow in this program and what all they will learn

We finally used our zoo membership. Lisa took the girls on Saturday while Chris studied after we straightened the house up some for a little bit of fun. We were glad it was over cast and not too hot. We had a lot of fun. Hopefully next time daddy can come with us.

Started off the zoo fun on the carousel

Fun on the train ride

The girls had a blast sliding

Ivy enjoyed all the extra activities they had going on

We got lucky when we were feeding giraffes

The girlies wanted this photo op 🙂

Of course we stopped to play on the play equipment

Splash pad fun

The girls hopped in the wind tunnel to dry off

We ended our time with a few final rides

They wanted to ride the same one 🙂

Mommy’s helper in the kitchen Sunday morning. Love teaching her to cook like Mimi taught her girls. Blessed to get to share this time with her.

Stacy celebrated her birthday! We hope her day was everything she wanted … she was showered with love, gifts, and breakfast from Mark and her girls that morning, got some quiet time after they went to work and school, went shopping with Mimi, enjoyed lunch with Mimi and Lisa at her favorite place, Lisa and the girls wish her a happy birthday after school and give her present to her and then when Sara and Katie got home we sang happy birthday and celebrated with cupcakes Mimi had gotten, and finally that evening Mark brought pizza home for their little family celebration … sounds like a great day. We pray many blessings over you this year Stacy.

The day after Stacy’s birthday is/was Papa’s day. Even though he is not with us anymore we still celebrate his day and cherish the memories we have together. Unfortunately one of our monkeys ended up with a tummy ache so we did not get to celebrate like we normally do but Mimi, Stacy and Lisa went for a little pamper time getting pedicures and lunch then spent sweet time together then sang Happy Birthday and made a wish for Papa. Sweet Ivy made Papa a Happy Birthday card while Lisa and Leia went walking too.

How we treasure the memories and pictures we have of Papa; below is a few from the last birthday we spent with Papa. I am so thankful we decided to surprise him and go celebrate his day at their house when he’d thought that the celebration the night before was for him and Stacy’s birthday. This year was the first year the family he left behind did not all celebrate together; missed that celebration but really miss Papa’s influence in our family.
Surprise Papa we are here and can help open your presents 😉

The girls both gave him big hugs … miss Papa bears hugs

We had so much fun playing with the plane Papa got

He was a big kid

Papa, Mimi, and Lisa  last year on his birthday

Lisa had promised the girls that she would come have lunch Friday with them but sweet Ivy was home sick Thursday and Friday but since Mimi came and sit Lisa still got to go workout then Daddy came home to work while Ivy slept for mommy to go to lunch with Leia

Friday night Leia spent the night with Mimi and had a one on one since Ivy was still on the mend

Leia is all ready for a class party she decided we should have and told everyone about before she mentioned it to mommy or daddy

Thankfully Ivy rebounded so she could enjoy Leia’s class swim party. Not quite half of her class could make it but her teacher, Mrs Kennamere came.

Looking forward to a great year with sweet friends and a great teacher!

Saturday evening was lots of fun with cousins and their friends after Leia’s party

Mommy got to have lunch with both her girls the last Tuesday of August. Can you tell you who likes pictures more? 😉

Lisa also went to the third grade book presentation; loved seeing the kids get excited about reading

The girlies gave daddy sweet snuggles before he left on a work trip. We miss daddy when he’s gone but thankful he works hard to provide for our little family. We love you daddy!

Lisa and the girls have been going on evening walks. They were excited to get to walk Dixie on one of our evening strolls

Mommy went on a mom’s night out and promised the girls she would give them say good night to them so took a picture to show them I came in for night night hugs

These two make our world brighter!
