The girls all went for a whole week this year. It is the first time that they have gone that long but did not seem to tire of it. Mark could not get off work the whole week and Chris needed to work on his school project so they came down and joined us mid week to enjoy the sun, sand, and ocean with us after they were responsible adults. We were on vacation mode with the days running together, enjoying sweet family time. It is nice to have short little getaways together.
The first part of our trip was a girls trip; momma-daughter bonding time. Thankful for each lady in this picture and getting to do life together

Lisa and Stacy went to the grocery store while Mimi took the girls to the beach. When we got back they had floats that they did not have when we left; a beer float and pineapple. We were surprised at the amount of attention the beer float received on the beach … people even asked to use it for photo ops of their group

These monkeys loved playing pile on the couch most mornings and evenings.

It only rained one day while we were there. We used it to take the girls shopping. They used their shopping finds to entertain themselves in the room while it was raining. The girlies also all got hair wraps while we were out shopping; they did not want us to tell their daddies and see who would notice it first, uncle Mark or uncle Chris.

Snuggles and selfie entertainment always mommy favorite

Girls just want to have fun

We went to a new place called Luna that was a hit with he kiddos.
The girls said we needed to bring the boys back to get spaghetti; um you can get fresh seafood at the beach

The kids had fun taking pictures for us. We ended up with over a hundred by the time all the girls took pictures; glad it is digital now

All week we enjoyed morning and evening time on the balcony watching and listening to the waves crashing into the shore; so peaceful

Stacy loved watching the sunsets in the evenings!

Uncle Chris showing girls how to do card tricks; he is the fun uncle
Sweet Mimi had a girls lunch with the kiddos so Lisa/Chris and Stacy/Mark could go on lunch dates after the boys came down …. Thank you Mimi

Ivy said she liked the kitchen table they had and thought we should get one for our house. She may have liked that she got ice cream more often at that table than at home since we were on vacation

Ivy was mommy’s sleeping buddy for the trip

Last year we ran into a guy that Lisa went to high school with and his family that Leia buddied up with and this year we ran into another guy with his family when we arrived. The kids had a great time playing with new friends

Leia and Sara wanted to jet ski so we rented jet skis for the mommas to take them out 30 minutes then the dads took them 30 minutes.I think both of them are hooked and it will become a yearly treat. Leia said she would try parasailing too next year
This is as close as we could get Ivy to the jet ski … maybe next year

Uncle Mark got to celebrate his birthday at the beach our last full day at the beach.
We hope you enjoyed it and know we all love you

He got a free dessert at supper and the kids entertained us on the stage

The fun one the beach and in the pool ran together throughout the week but every minute was a great time with family

LOL …. we were that family with the beer float

Mimi loved her monkeys! She has never been a huge fan of getting in the ocean but jumped in if one of the girls asked and missed sitting on the beach to sit at the pool with them

There were lots of crabs at the pool in the evenings so Mimi did not have to take the girls out to find crabs; one year I think she said a bug was a crab since they could not find any and they were not willing to go in until they did. Now the girls know what they look like

We were in the car and someone yelled there was a alligator. It took a few minutes for the adults to figure out it was in the sky. We ended up laughing quite a bit at the gator flying in the air. Then a sweet memory of Papa always saying “See you later alligator, after while crocodile” to the girlies popped into our heads. A subtle reminder that Papa is looking over us and will be waiting for us at the pearly gates when it is our time to go home. Until then we are to enjoy this life, forgive often, and love each other unconditionally.

What a fantastic trip to the beach! It looks amazing and so glad you enjoyed a week there too. Love, Aunt Joy
