We finally got to celebrate Deedee’s birthday with her this weekend since she and Grandpa came to visit us for the weekend. They surprised the girls and picked them up from the bus at Shades to take them to Surge for a little high jumping fun on the trampolines. That evening we went to Brio’s for dinner and a late birthday dessert, chocolate cake since Deedee loves chocolate.

Saturday the girlies got to go to High Point with Deedee and Grandpa for a little more fun while mommy and daddy cooked and prepped for the neighborhood block party. We have not had one since we moved into the neighborhood so we were not sure what the turnout would be but it turned out great! The kids and adults all had fun jumping on the jumper, swinging on the rope swing, fellowshipping, and meeting new neighbors. We finished clean up in the pitch black and remembered to turn the clock back which means it gets darker earlier :(.

Balloons are always fun and the girls had a blast blowing up several of them. Leia learned to tie them too 🙂

Grandpa took the girls to get donuts for breakfast on Sunday since they declared it is a tradition when they came over. After breakfast it was play time with with Grandpa and Deedee. The girls had fun playing the rug game and board games before they had to leave to go home. We chilled out, watching Hallmark Christmas movie and playing outside until shortly after lunch before we started cleaning the playroom. The girls and Lisa finished up while while Chris prepped dinner then the Bailey’s came for dinner and to celebrate Ivy B being cast free. The kids all had a great time playing. Th celebration was complete with a piñata and brownies before they had to head home.
