July started at Mimi’s for Leia and Ivy since they had a girls spend the night party June 30th. Chris opted to spend the day chilling and re-energizing; a introvert needs alone time. He went to the movies then hung out at the house working on the computer and tech stuff. Lisa chilled at home that morning catching up on the blog then headed to Mimi’s for lunch and play time in the pool. We all enjoyed the warm day and hopped in the pool. It was the first day this summer the pool was over 85 degrees which is the threshold in Lisa’s opinion to get in the pool. We headed back home that evening for dinner with Chris, chill time at home, and all laid on Leia’s bed watching Ariel 3 which ended with a dance party before we all had to calm back down for night night time.
Sweet Ivy is like her mommy with pictures. The only pictures from today is because she said take a picture mommy. Love the sweet, bubbly personality of our baby girl. Both girlies swam through the hoops, performed tricks, played basketball, and rode on the noodle train in the pool with mommy and Mimi (trying to dunk us). Fun day in the water!

Sunday was a family day chilling at the pool to beat the summer heat that finally arrived after Lisa and the girls washed and cleaned their car. Chris set up electronics in the house while we were outside then came to join us later for a couple hours before we headed home to see Grandpa and Deedee since they were coming over for a few days. Leia had requested a mommy/daughter time so Lisa and Leia went to Target (Leia’s choice) to shop for a little bit for the 4th of July party and a special toy Leia wanted to buy before we went back home for dinner with the family.
The girlies, Lisa, and Mimi played in the pool for a while

Chris came to join in on the fun later
Monday, Lisa and Chris had to work but the girls got to hang out with Grandpa and Deedee. They took Ivy and Sara to Urban Air while Katie and Leia went to play Barbies at aunt Stacy’s house. Lisa was happy that they sent them home early and took advantage of it by running by the store then to get fireworks on the way home. As soon as Lisa got home Ivy wanted her time to go shopping too. Lisa and Ivy headed to the store while Deedee and Leia straightened the playroom and played legos (guess who did what; thank you Deedee for straightening it up). That afternoon Gene and Chris went to see Transformers with uncle Mark so Deedee and Lisa took the girls out for dinner and to pick out material for their upcoming sewing day with Deedee on Wednesday. Later that evening Leia finished decorating the cake for their 4th of July party and we set up for it.
Sweet morning snuggles before Lisa left for work. Glad the girlies get to have a fun day

Fun at Urban Air
Deedee and Lisa took the girlies to Steak and Shake and JoAnn’s while the guys went to the movies with uncle Mark
Prepping for their USA birthday party tomorrow evening

July 4th, we spent the morning at home with the three kiddos running around playing (Leia, Ivy, and Grandpa). We headed to Mimi’s shortly before lunch to meet up with everyone and enjoy a yummy barbecue lunch with Mimi, Al, Stacy, Mark, Sara, Katie, Kristi, Clark, Bentley, and Nana. Thankfully the weather cleared up so we all could get into the pool in the afternoon. Most the adults even got in so there are very few pictures but there was a ton of fun! That evening we hosted our annual “Happy Birthday America” party. This year was a different location with the move but just as much fun. The fireworks were great, plenty of desserts and snacks, and water fun for the kids…blessed to live in a country where we are free and thankful for the men and women fight to keep it that way.
Morning time down time with our little angels working on their math
Fun at Mimi’s on the fourth, lunch and pool time fun swimming (very few pics since mommy was swimming too)

Ready for our Birthday party for America

Uncle Mark made the water balloons even more fun by joining in on the fun
Enjoyed spending time with family and friends

The fireworks were great!
Deedee and Grandpa got a fun day with the girls after the 4th. Grandpa went and picked up donuts that morning then after a little playtime Deedee took the girls to the library, park, Chickfila, Dollar Tree, and Teacher store for math books. Chris got off early to go play golf with Grandpa that afternoon so the girls were surprised when they arrived home and the house was empty but had a great time plating with Deedee. Lisa was surprised when she got home and they were playing school; the surprising part was Deedee got to be the teacher (that rarely happens, they like to be the teachers when we play). The guys arrived home not too long after Lisa since it started to lightening for a nice evening at home.
Thursday morning we work up and grandpa and Deedee headed home while the Comfort girls chilled at home a little bit. We were suppose to have friends come swim with us but the little sister got sick so we ended up going to Mimi’s to swim just us. Lisa, Mimi, and Sara ended up swimming then Ivy joined us later after she finished playing Barbie with Katie and Leia. The weather drove us out of the pool sooner than we planned with a afternoon storm but the girls played inside and we all ended up meeting Chris and Mark for dinner that evening then Sara and Katie came over to spend the night for a spend the night party.
These monkeys opted to play Barbies than swim
Sweet Ivy put on a great show for Mimi and Lisa with the flute

Waiting on their cousins to arrive for spend the night fun

Treat time

Bed Time … no pictures of the in-betweens

Friday the girls woke up and immediately headed downstairs to play while Lisa cooked breakfast. They took a long enough break from playing to eat then opted to only play a little afterwards before deciding to watch TV after breakfast. Television time was limited so then they decided to work on the computer playing Prodigy (a math game), and claim to be bored (not sure how that is possible with the amount of toys and entertainment there is outside but they managed too since nothing sounded good). That afternoon we headed to Deedee and Grandpa’s for a weekend of fun.
Just a few snap shots of the morning with Sara and Katie
Makeup and educational fun

Saturday was a full day! Chris and Grandpa went golfing and won their flight in the tournament. Lisa and Darrell hung out with the girls. We went to Kohl’s for MoWilliams books and animals, to Air Jump for 1 1/2 hours of jump time, to the pool to swim and lunch, then got dressed to go to the “Beauty and the Beast” show and dinner before coming back to the house where we explored the last 4 hours in the neighborhood under construction before the boys got home.
Fun at Grandpa and Deedee’s before we heading out for the day
The girls were squirting each other so mommy joined the fun since Leia tried to escape the camera
We arrived at Air Jump when it opened so the girls could do pretty much what they wanted too since they were not crowded. After about 45 minutes people started showing up but the girls still had a blast

Girls needed a snack time after all their playing to get more energy
The play was great! We had front row seats and the theater did a fantastic job with the production. Ivy said it was the best movie every.
There was a photo op afterwards with a few characters.

Exploring the neighborhood
Sunday morning, Deedee took us to one of their club pools that was newly renovated with a slide. We found a great parking spot in the shade when we arrived but were told the kids pool was temporarily closed but kids were welcome to swim in the adult pool until it opened. We did snag the best spot at the kids pool in the shade and off by itself since we were one of the first ones there. Lisa swam with the girls in the adult pool and got to play with them. After lunch the kids pool opened and the girls took off to slide. Leia asked Lisa to get back in the pool there to play but the two little monkey’s left her in the pool to roam from the pool to splash pad to slide. The had a blast sliding and shooting the water cannon at the splash pad! Lisa and Deedee were able to relax in the lounge chairs until the girls were water logged. However, both of them said they wanted to go back the next time we visited. Deedee offered to take the girls to get ice-cream that afternoon but they opted to chill out at Deedee’s house instead. They created animal capes while Deedee sewed a dress for Leia with fabric she had picked out the weekend before. Next on the girls agenda was relaxing with a TV show and playing with a whoopee cushion before heading to go to the art and craft area to create play-dough small cakes. The guys made it home from their tournament but was not in as high of spirits as the day before since they did not play as well but they did get to spend time together so it was a food day and considered a win. After a quick shower, we headed home to get ready for the week ahead. Blessed to get to spend the weekend with Deedee and Grandpa, thank you for a great weekend!
Morning fun playing golf like daddy and Grandpa

Thankful to be in a pool with the heat outside

Always having fun! Playing thumb war and paps, rock, scissors in the car

Leia found a whoopee cushion that provided quite a bit of entertainment
Couldn’t help but think about how Papa would have the biggest laughs with these two

Fun in Deedee’s sewing room
Monday the girls were itching to get to camp to see their tracks this week. Leia got baking and film-making. Ivy got face-painting and film-making. Both were thrilled with their tracks. Bonus was they were together in the film-making track and found out they would be making a Star Wars film to show the whole camp. Leia will be playing princess Leia and Ivy will be playing Chewbacca. Both were super excited about the film and said they want to go to camp all week for it but the excitement died down and Leia stayed home Tuesday for a mommy daughter day since they were just making their costumes and she already had a Leia costume. It was a great day! She helped mommy clean out the car, we played at Chuckecheese, lunch at Red Lobster (her pick), went to the store, and just enjoyed being together. So blessed to get to spend a fun day with her! Wednesday was filming day at camp so they both were pumped and said it was the best part about the day. That afternoon their friends, Mollie and Charlotte came over to play for a couple hours to top off the day. Thursday, mommy was off. Katie did not like camp that much this year so they asked if Katie and Sara could come hang out and play for the day. Katie opted too but Sara wanted to go to camp. So the 4 little monkeys hung out here and played. That afternoon we went to Let’s Play for a little fun before our girls had gymnastics. Mimi and Katie headed to Mimi’s house so after gymnastics we picked up Sara and took her to Mimi’s too. That evening the girls wanted to swim so we invited Abbey and Jenna too and the six of them swam until a little after nine. The girls ended up spending the night since it was later than we realized when we got out of the pool. Friday Lisa went back out to enjoy a little more more pool time with the girlies until the rain moved in and we headed home.
Date day with Princess Leia. She only rode in the front through the car wash but we had a blast at Chuckecheese together. She loved getting to pick our lunch spot and call the shots. So thankful to be her mommy and get to spend special time with her. Looking forward to seeing what all she does as she continues growing into a beautiful young lady.

Sweet Ivy loved face painting! She has got the spunky personality that makes her so much fun to be around!! Looking forward to seeing what all this little one accomplishes as she grows up (just hoping she does not grow too fast).

Wednesday morning getting ready for their big film shoot at camp.

Sweet girls playing on Thursday morning waiting on cousin Katie to arrive. Love watching them care for their baby and use their incredible imaginations. Once Katie arrived the girls were off doing anything she wanted
That afternoon we got to go have fun at Let’s Play. Loved watching them play and enjoy themselves

Thursday, evening dinner and swim at Mimi’s is always fun! They swam till a few minutes after 9, enjoyed having to have the pool light on to swim but hard to see those goggles on the side of pool

Girls ended up spending Thursday night with Mimi for a spend the night party
These three had a great time playing Friday in the pool till the rain came in and the Comfort’s headed home for a family date night
Love our “Family Fun Friday Night Dates”! While Lisa was swimming with the girls Friday morning we decided we were overdue for one so we planned it and texted to tell daddy we were going out that evening. Blessed to get to spend special time with our little family. Praying the girls remember these sweet times together as they grow and still want to have them when they get older too.
The girls asked to go to a fancy restaurant on their date night. We went to Texas De Brazil before getting our fun on at Chuckecheese and game time at home. Great family night!

Ended our date night with mommy-daughters game time
Sweet Saturday! Love waking up to Chris fixing breakfast, Ivy entertaining us and helping everyone, and Leia chilling out getting the day started. It would be great to freeze this stage in life cause we are loving it! This weekend we spent the morning at home then traveled to Montgomery for a play with the family. The traffic was horrible getting there and it took significant longer than it should had but worth it to see a great play. The girls all wanted to go swim afterwards so we decided to head to Mimi’s after it to extend our family fun time. Chris and Lisa ran by 3 places to grab dinner on the way so everyone got what they wanted for dinner before the girls capped off the day with a swim.
Sweet Ivy wants to help mommy put up the blinds almost every morning. Mommy raises them half way then she finishes. So blessed to have such a sweet little helper!

Thankful for the surprise of chief Chris cooking breakfast this Saturday and getting to sit down to enjoy breakfast together before the day of travel began.
Mimi took us to see the play, Mary Poppins in Montgomery. It took significantly longer than planned to get there with all the road issues and people traveling to the beach but we had just enough time to stop by Chickfila for a quick lunch.

The show was great! Thank you Mimi for taking us all!!
(Mimi bought Stacy and Mark tickets but they headed out of town instead)

Top off a fun day with a little swim with cousins
Sunday, daddy left for the week to go on a work trip. Mommy and the girls chilled out at home most the morning then met Sara, Katie, Mimi, Mark, Stacy, and Al for lunch before we headed back over to Mimi’s to swim a little bit. That evening the girls had surprise party for mommy. Mommy had to answer riddles to get into it the there was dancing, tea parties, scary story telling, musical chairs, sliding on gymnastic mats, and hopscotch to keep us all entertained (no pictures, phone was upstairs so we just enjoyed time together). Great day with the girls but we do miss having Chris home with us!
Ivy entertaining us putting on a show then singing to Elsa about how you should speak to a girl. Love this girl, her zest of life, and how big she loves.

Fun at the pool and a treat

Monday started another week off with work. Lisa is so thankful to be part-time and get to spend more time with the girlies than she could if had to work full-time. We realized today that school starts in 3 weeks and 3 days :(. Got to make the most of these last few weeks. The girls were excited to both get film-making again this week but has the choice of going or staying anyway Lisa is off. Ivy liked her other track, photography while Leia did not enjoy the scavenger hunt track. After dinner we went for a walk around the neighborhood and ended up inviting a neighbor, AlexAnn back over to play. They were having such a great time it was 9:50 before we knew it. Needless to say it was a late bedtime but it was a good time.
Leia took pics of her sis and friend

They had fun sliding and jumping like we did last night

Tuesday, the girlies wanted to spend the morning at home and just go to camp to do their tracks. Aunt Stacy came over to hang out since her house was being cleaned and Mimi met us out while we were running errands. We ran to Michaels and Costco then came back home for lunch before we tried to make the slime Leia bought. The slime did not work out as well as we’d hoped but we plan on looking online for a better recipe. That afternoon, Leia and Ivy went to camp while Lisa, Stacy, and Mimi went to get pedicures. When Lisa picked up the girls we headed to see “Despicable Me 3” and had popcorn for dinner before coming home to chill out and rest up for the work day ahead.
Leia took charge to make the slime

When it did not work out as planned mommy came to help
Afternoon fun!
Another long work day on Wednesday was sweetened by going to Stacy and Mark’s to play. Leia and Ivy has wanted to play with them everyday this week so we finally got the opportunity tonight. Lisa took dinner prep to Stacy’s to cook with Stacy at their house for a little sister time while the girlies played Barbies then after dinner we all chilled in the keeping room playing games and enjoying sweet time together before we headed home to face-time daddy for the evening.
Fun night at Sara and Katie’s house. Uncle Mark joined in the fun as soon as he got home playing air hockey with Leia then Uno with al the girls. In the end it is safe to say Lisa was the champ at air hockey and uncle Mark was the Uno Champion.
Face-timing daddy before night night
It is funny how the smallest person in the house takes up the most room in the bed. But mommy sure do love the snuggles

Thursday was a great day! We morning was spent just how the girls like it, chilling at home. Then ran by Lowe’s to pick up some supplies to fix stuff at the house before going to Mimi’s for lunch and a nice swim on the hottest day so far this summer. Of course as soon as we got in God sent the rain to cool it off too. We headed back towards our house so girls could go to gymnastics then went for our evening walk after dinner and snuggled up for the evening. Blessed to spend the day with the girlies!
Can’t beat morning snuggles and breakfast with our little princesses

Thankful for a pool on hot day and sweet time with the girlies and Mimi

Prepping for our luau on Saturday playing with the photo op props

Evening walk with my girls. Leia was not happy about it tonight but cheered up when we got closer home

Friday, the girls said they wanted to go to camp till we were walking out the door then they decided they did not want too and preferred to hang out at home with momma and Mimi. We chilled and girls did whatever they wanted all morning and fixed lunch at our house. Shortly after lunch we headed to the mall to go to the girls favorite store, Justice to let them each pick out a shirt before heading to Shades to watch Sara and Katie do their cheer performance. Afterward it we invited Charlotte and Mollie over to play for a little while. The girls had a great time by the sound of the microphones and megaphones. That evening Lisa and the girls had a indoor picnic and watched the long awaited Descendant II. Chris arrived home shortly before 10; Leia waited up on him but Ivy gave it up not too long before he got home.
Friday morning fun, cooking for our pool party, relaxing on the air bed, and shopping
We went and watched Sara and Katie perform from their cheer camp this week. Girls said they want to do it next year

Indoor picnic and movie night watching Descendants II
Saturday was a fun day! The girls had their annual swim party just because they wanted to have a party. There was not a huge crowd but it was perfect for the girls. Guest list able to make it was short but packed a lot of fun; guest were London, Victoria, and Natalie from God’s House, Anna Reed from Leia’s class, Jenna and Abbey from next door, and our cousins Sara and Katie. Even all the adults were in the pool most of the day which the kids loved too. The girls were happy with the turn out and said it was awesome; successful party when the host and guest all seem to have a good time. That evening we just hung out at home having chill out family time.
Ivy woke up early so she and mommy got to snuggle but not before she helped raise the blinds

Pool party fun with friends and family
Sunday, we woke to clean the house that had been neglected with the busy week. Enjoyed a nice family breakfast then the girls played and played and played. Nice relaxing morning that we all needed. Mimi ran over for a couple minutes to bring our anniversary present, a water fountain for the front porch. Love the sound of water falls again. That afternoon the girls asked if they could color their hair like Mel and Evie on Descendants so we went to Sally’s and got temporary dye. It did not turn out as well as we’d hoped but we tried, next time we will try a different shade. Grandpa and Deedee came today to hang out with us a few days. So that evening we cooked dinner and played with the girlies. Thankful for sweet family time!
Teaching Elsa to do gymnastics and chilling out together … love how these two play and enjoy time together
Thank you Mimi for the fountain for our anniversary

The girls dyed their air purple and blue like Mel and Evie on Descendants II

Thankful Grandpa and Deedee came to visit

Leia put on a show for us all tonight

Monday, the girls got to spend the day with Grandpa and Deedee while mommy and daddy both worked. They went to McWane for a few hours then by Chickfila for lunch. When mommy got home Deedee and Leia were playing Jinga. Ivy went to change clothes and Deedee took her to gymnastics while Leia and Mommy had some one-on-one time playing Candy Land. Once Daddy, Deedee, and Leia got home we all enjoyed dinner then the girls all headed out for a evening walk. We were gone for a while since we met a few neighbors but had a good walk.
Fun at McWane

Yummy lunch at Chickfila too.

Afterwork mommy got some one on one time with Leia while Deedee took Ivy to gymnastics

Enjoying the party the girls threw that night

Tuesday was Lisa and Chris’s 9th anniversary, Darrell and Gene’s 47th anniversary, and would had been Sheila and Chuck’s 38th anniversary. Great day to celebrate anniversaries! Chris had to work but Lisa, Gene, and Darrell got to spend the day with the girls at High Point. Lisa and the girls climbed for a little over three hours. It was a great workout but the best part was that it was FUN. That afternoon Deedee took Leia to gymnastics while Lisa had a little play time with Ivy at home. That evening the girls went to play with Sara and Katie while mommy, daddy, Grandpa, Deedee, Mimi, and Al went out to celebrate anniversaries and Al’s birthday at Ginamarcos. Yummy food and great company, can’t beat that combination.
Sweet morning snuggles

How much FUN!
We neglected to get a anniversary dinner picture this year so I pulled the last one we had at Ginamarcos. Love getting to celebrate with our parents!

Wednesday, Chris stayed home sick while Lisa went to work and Grandpa and Deedee took 4 little princesses (Leia, Ivy, Sara, and Katie) to Alabama Splash Adventure Water Park. It must have been a great time! They arrived when it opened and stayed till closing. So glad they all had a great time!
Our baby monkey woke up before everyone and came to jump in the bed with mommy and daddy. Love getting sweet morning snuggles and laughter before work!

Waterpark fun! Thank you Grandpa and Deedee for taking them!! they had a great time!!!

Grandpa and Deedee headed home Thursday morning after we went to Hardees. Lisa and the girls chilled out at home that morning then cousins Sara and Katie, Stacy, and Mimi all came over to hang out with us. Everyone stayed at the house while Lisa went to work and Mimi/Stacy cooked lunch to have when Lisa got home. That afternoon the girls had gymnastics. Leia got her stars and only has two more before she moves up a level. :). That evening the girls picked up Sara and Katie to head to Mimi’s for a spend the night party since Mrs Diane was coming to clean our house Friday morning. When we arrived at Mimi’s Abbey and Jenna were swimming so we got to have a fun evening with friends and family.
Gymnastics fun and swimming in the evening

The rain hindered our Fun Friday pool day plans so we went back to High Point for a little more fun. We spent several hours there again then went to Carrabba’s for lunch before getting our car to head home for our play date with neighbors. Leia and Ivy went over to Charlotte and Molly’s. They said it was awesome! Leia loved all the legos and Ivy loved all the princess castles. It was a late dinner and bed afterwards but we all had a fun day!
Another fun day climbing. Mimi joined in on the fun of climbing too!

Girls lunch at Sara’s favorite spot

Love this man! He is a great daddy and wonderful husband always making us laugh

Chris went golfing Saturday so the girls and mommy ran errands to prep for the neighbors coming over that evening and played at home. It was a busy day but filled with fun too. Lisa laid her phone on the kitchen counter that morning though and hardly touched it so there is not any pictures throughout the day but there was lots of hugs, games, and fun. The girls really enjoyed Julie, John, Emma, Maddie, Jade, Will, and Elliot all coming over for a Italian dinner and great fellowship. They played downstairs, on the trampoline, and the swing which is when the adults realized it felt great outside! Elliot had to go home about 8:30 for bed but Maddie and Emma ended up staying until 10 o’clock (which is well past bedtimes). It great to have fun neighbors!
The girls came in to tickle daddy that amorning
She is silly! So thankful for the laughter she brings into our home!!
Daddy had to catch up on his sleep Sunday. He slept till 9 while Lisa and the girls snuggled watching Sunday Cartoons and played. After daddy got up and had breakfast we played a family game of monopoly (Leia was the champ). That afternoon we picked up Sara and Katie to take them to Mimi’s with us since Stacy and Mark started a renovation job for a afternoon of swimming and dinner. The girls have been asking for a spend the night party so they ended up all four spending the night at Stacy and Mark’s that evening.
Love love love this time with these two! Savoring the snuggles and this stage of life
Sweet girls drinking their “coffee”
Big girls playing descendants with Mimi while mommy got a rare daytime snuggle with sweet Ivy since she slipped off the diving board

Ivy recovered quickly and perked up then mommy and daddy joined the fun in the pool
How many people sit in one chair for treat time
Girls were all excited for a spend the night party at the Rhoads’

Last day in July was a work and camp day but the girlies did get to wake up at Sara and Katie’s house and awesome uncle Mark fixed sausage balls and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The girls both liked there last tracks at camp this summer. Leia got legos and painting. Ivy for cooking and painting. That evening the girls were excited that aunt Stacy, uncle Mark, and Sara came over for dinner (we missed Katie who was at soccer practice).
The girls started their morning out with cousins

Ended the day with dinner with family
(Picture missing a couple people. Lisa was taking picture and Katie was at soccer)

We loved getting to spend time with friends and family this month. Sweet summer time is one of our favorites of the year because there’s not a school schedule, homework, and we have more free time to enjoy together. Ready or not school will be here in in ten days so we will make the most of the last few days before we get back on our school schedule and homework begins.
