Lisa’s Birthday

So blessed to have family and friends that wished me a happy birthday and celebrated all weekend! Friday morning, sweet Ivy came and jumped in the bed to give mommy birthday snuggles and told daddy he should go get birthday donuts. Chris followed through with Ivy’s suggestion and we all had breakfast together (a rare treat on a school morning) before he took the girls to school and Lisa went to the gym. Afterwards, Lisa cooked brownies for a afternoon treat before Mimi and Stacy arrived. We played while Chris got things done at the house and picked up Ivy to meet us at lunch. After the big girls got out of school we all got to play at the house, open gifts, and had birthday treats before the Rhoads headed to the soccer field. Chris, Lisa, and the girls had a movie night and relaxed at home the rest of the evening to cap off a nice relaxing day.

Morning time candles at breakfast. It was a afterthought when Ivy remembered that we had not done it but mommy, Leia and Ivy all made a wish

Celebrating with family

Love my little family

Saturday the girls did not leave the house! It was great!! We relaxed in the morning, snuggling, watching TV, playing games, and laughing. Even picking up the house midday seemed enjoyable since we were laughing so much. That afternoon Mimi, Al, and the Rhoads came over to play and celebrate Lisa again. 🙂 Stretching out a birthday celebration makes Lisa happy

Saturday morning snuggle time!

The girlies like their present from Mimi for mommy’s birthday

Girls enjoying Moe’s catering. We took the easy route on Saturday

Sunday, we went to Mimi’s for lunch and play. Mid afternoon we headed home to get ready for the week. We traded Ivy and Katie since the girls all still wanted to play. Leia and Katie ended up at our house playing makeup, barbies, on the swing, and having a lemonade stand (to mommy and daddy’s surprise people stopped to buy it). uncle Mark came to trade girls back while they were still selling so we gave Katie her portion of sales and Ivy and Maddie took over for Katie. We ended up meeting another sweet neighbor in the first grade and played outside later than we intended but the extended daylight and nice weather helped us lose track of time.

Our sleeping angels. Love how they snuggle close to each other

It was a GREAT birthday weekend!
