Leia

MLK Weekend 2017

Days are short that we can pull Ivy out to school to have fun days so mommy and Ivy decided to have a special day together today. While we started the day being responsible, taking care of business at the house prepping meals for the weekend then it became fun time. Ivy opted to start it at McWane. Ivy had a blast leading the way and getting to do whatever she wanted to do. We explored every floor and every exhibit before heading to lunch in the park. On way to grab lunch however Ivy got a nose bleed so we ended up grabbing her nuggets and bringing them home to wash her clothes and clean up the car. We played at home until it was time to get Leia since Ivy was concerned her hose might bleed again. Lisa had promised the girls we would go grab ice-cream after school Friday to celebrate Leia’s amazing report card. As a added bonus the girls got to play with Sara and Katie a little while Lisa ran to store with Stacy. Chris was going to surprise us and come home early but he was surprised to come home to a empty house, oops. It was not long before Chris had his girls at home though then we had a great family night eating leftovers, playing games, and having a dance party. Love the night with minimal electronic full of fun, laughter, and sweet family time. This was the most fabulous Friday the 13th ever!

Ivy – mommy day fun at McWane. We limited the electronics so these are literally the only 5 pictures throughout the day but we had a blast exploring and spending a special day together.

Ice-cream celebration for a great report card on a warm, 80 degree January day

Family fun night. Mommy loves these three more than anything in this world! So much fun laughing and spending time together. Loving these days!

Saturday morning was a family PJ time, relaxing playing, and enjoying breakfast together.  Leia and Ivy looked forward all morning to getting together with Sara and Katie as soon as they could since they knew they were getting to have spend the night party that evening. We all merged together at Mimi’s house at lunch time to start the girls party. We had a family dinner that evening then Chris took the four little princesses back to our house for their spend the night party while the rest of the adults went to see “Dirty Dancing” broadway show. It was a fabulous show! Chris was well entertained with the 4 little ones and thankfully they all went night night when it was time and were sweet all evening.

Sunday morning, the girls enjoyed watching TV while Lisa cooked breakfast then they bolted downstairs to play. Sweet Sara came back up after a little bit and ended up watching a Hallmark movie with Lisa. Mid morning Stacy came over and Sara, Lisa and Stacy went to Target while the rest of the little ones played. That afternoon we had a girls trip to the mall and play time at the Rhoads to give Chris a little time to himself. Leia hung out with Sara and Katie that evening while the rest of the family went to the Wood’s for dinner and playtime.

Our sweet girls love being together; blessed they get to grow up as close as they do. That evening Janet cooked a sauce for the brussel sprouts that had vinager in it so Ivy was not a fan of the smell. The kiddos ended up taking their dinner outside to coup with the smell.

What a beautiful day Monday turned out to be! There was no school or work since it was MLK day so we got to enjoy the day outdoors spending sweet time with family. Mimi cooked a yummy lunch and we grilled out and played outside before heading to the hiking trails. It was hard to belief that it was a January when we were hiking in 77 degree weather. We ended our hike quicker than planned since the Rhoads girls had piano lessons so we went back to play at Mimi’s a little longer before heading home to get ready for school and work tomorrow.
